03.01.2022 Hi! I am trying to reach as far as i can. My sister has 2 to 4 weeks left til she passes away from a really aggressive cancer and we are hoping to raise money f...or funds for her funeral and hope we can reach Ellen's page for help! Just to start, Kristen was diagnosed with sarcamotoid carcinoma of the kidney, stage 4, given the terminal diagnosis, the worst case scenario was 18mths to 2yrs, and the best case scenario was 3 to 5yrs. She went to the emergency department at John hunter with pain after complaining to her go for over 3yrs with stomach pain. The kept putting it down to severe acid reflux and gall bladder issues.. They found quite an extensive large tumour. It was operated on n later found it had metastasized, and spread throughout her lymph nodes and move god knows where. The fact that they let her wait 7 weeks and having her referrals lost in the system ultimately led to this detrimental path. Her cancer had metastasized thru her body, and over the course of having treatment and clinical trials plus radiation, it hasn't gotten better, it's just spread, everywhere, went from kidney to lungs, then brain and the latest is now the liver. She is riddled with tumours, things have taken a turn for the worse now, and even with all the positive thoughts from doctors, specialists and carers, family and friends, it can't save her.. This fundraiser is to just give her a helping hand to be comfortable in her last moments here earthide with us. Some medical equipment like a hospital bed. Also she never thought this would happen so funeral insurance was never thought of. We would like her last moments to be stress free and as ok as it can be considering the circumstances. On the day of the fundraiser we will be holding to raise money, all prizes to be won have been selflessly donated from amazing friends and family and even complete strangers who wish to help this cause.. For every $100 donated to the head shaves a prize will be won by the generous and amazing person. I have an amazing woman who is donating her time to be a photographer for the day, I have beauty and nail techs coming on the day doing beauty services for a small fee which will of course be donated to this amazing fundraiser. I still need to locate a few items and services of interest for the day, I would love to be able to entertain the children by getting a face painter, I have an amazing hairdresser for the shaves n colouring. I'm asking that everyone you share or tag people in this fundraiser please also hashtag 7news , NBN and any other media outlet you can, let's get them there on the day!
