FIRST, who would have thought that I would have enough strength to share something like this, but I want others who are suffering with the same problem, to know, THERE IS HOPE! I grew up having the most perfect #skin. Crazy to think right? When I got to 9th grade I had some #breakouts, used ...Pro-Activ and other products and then it left by the time I started my sophomore year. At the ages of 16-19 it went away. Entering my 20s, my skin went downhill from there. I started breaking out like crazy and NOTHING could stop it. My #acne was raging. My parents found a known #dermatologist on the TV show, The Doctors, and I started treatments in Beverly Hills immediately. But what I didn’t realize, after spending well over a couple thousand dollars, is, I was only masking the problem. I quit the chemical peels, steroid injections and the line of product that EVERY patient was using. After that my skin became worse and I started getting cystic acne that was painful. When I say I’ve tried EVERYTHING on the shelf, I mean EVERYTHING. I’ve also tried well-known products online, I’ve tried every vegan line you could think of, natural products, Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera, vitamins, changed my diet numerous times for gut health, drank a lot of water and I saw 3 other dermatologists who wanted to mask the issue, take my money and push me with pills and antibiotics and the worst chemical of all: Acutane. The last thing I was told by a professional was: You just have acne. It’s in your genes and you will have it for a long time. Wow. Not what someone wants to hear. I was not in a good place with myself. I was very insecure, my self-esteem dropped and I cried many times over the pain it caused.
