25.01.2022 With the latest COVID 19 cluster currently happening all clients are required to sanitise before entry (even though you currently do it is provided at counter) and most importantly if you are unwell you must reschedule your appointment. We can get through this if we all do the right thing. Michelle

25.01.2022 Well yesterday didn’t quite go to plan..... ended up in Lyell McEwin Hospital with my elbow. Most of you know that I am scheduled for surgery next week, to repair the damage that I had done in November. The evening progressed with the Ambos arriving and giving me the whistle.....bloody didn’t work. They put a line in me and gave me fentanyl, happier times and onto hospital we went. Lyell McEwin is very interesting at night to say the least. Not much they could do surgery i...s scheduled, so we got home at around 4:40am this morning. They also said I’m not to work until after the surgery. So that was my evening hope everyone else’s went to plan. I will let you all know when I am back Michelle

19.01.2022 So as you may or may not be aware, Remedial Massage services can continue in a clinical or healthcare setting. Social distancing must still be maintained, so only 1 client in the clinic at any one time. So as of next week I will be back.... The booking page is now open. I have a lot to do between now and then, since the lockdown, cleaning etc so I look forward to seeing you all soon Michelle

17.01.2022 **Update** There was a fault within the NBN network, which has now been fixed, so all services are now working Internet and phone are down which means no Hicaps. Telstra and NBN are investigating hopefully it can be fixed remotely otherwise technician will be out tomorrow

14.01.2022 Well we are in unprecedented times with the Coronavirus sweeping the world, but I want you all to know that strict cleaning procedures are in place at Bodydesign Remedial Massage. After each client hands are washed, table cleaned and linens changed. We must all do our part in stopping the spread of the virus by washing hands thoroughly, and rescheduling your appointment if you feel unwell. 02.01.2022 This is what I received from my association today...... there is hope. A message from the CEO Dear ATMS Member,... ATMS is successfully working on your behalf, with fellow professional Associations and government, to facilitate a return to practice for remedial and therapeutic massage as the authorities deem it safe to do so. This patient work is required in all 8 State and Territory jurisdictions. Each jurisdiction is making its own decisions, and within each jurisdiction there remains some tension and uncertainty between the Health Department decision making and Police enforcement. It remains important to carefully review the specific advice we are issuing to each State and Territory. That ATMS advice is on our website here: https://www.atms.com.au/industry-associations-unite/ The following joint statement is issued today. Since our first joint statement on 26 March 2020, the landscape continues to be ever changing. The joint Associations have been working tirelessly together in order to provide all members the facts and will continue to seek clarity from both Federal and State Governments as to the directions orders for therapeutic, remedial massage and myotherapy services in each individual state. As of today, 17 April 2020, the following is a summary of what has been received in writing from the different states and territories: The following states and territories have confirmed that remedial massage and myotherapy members are permitted to provide professional services at this time: ACT New South Wales Northern Territory Victoria Western Australia The following states have confirmed that remedial massage and myotherapy members are not permitted to provide professional services at this time: Queensland Tasmania We continue to seek clarification from South Australia.
