24.01.2022 This is a footstool that we have just recovered for a retrostyle look. It was done using black and white marine vinyl with french seams around the triangle.

21.01.2022 The days job, a new set of stormcovers to replace the existing ones which had been damaged by hail.

20.01.2022 These are some canvas seat covers we made for a Polaris buggy to protect them from dirt and damage when the owner is out hunting.

17.01.2022 With this XA superbird being one of approximately only 40 left registered in Australia it was an honour to be chosen to complete the trim in this concourse quality resto. Complete seat frame refurbishment, quality Novatex Reproduction vinyls and many hours of sore fingers and late nights went into the final result. Best not to climb in this car in your greasy overalls... #Novatex_international #aussiemusclecars #motortrimming #streetmachine #falconsuperbird #autoupholstery #automotiveupholstery #restoration #xafalcon #falconcoupe

17.01.2022 This is the custom interior in a 1978 F100 that we have just finished. The fabric is the same as is used in the Falcon XR6 range. The doortrims are custom made, and the armrests have been built from scratch and have a billet look pull handle in the top. There were many hours put into these. The crash pad was cracked in four places and was repaired and recovered, and a new dash fascia made and fitted on the LHS of the dash. New mounting brackets for the CD player were made and installed at the same time. New moulded carpets were fitted and the rear wall was carpeted and a new vinyl covered board fitted into the roof, after which the sunroof was fitted to finish it off.

14.01.2022 Blast from the Past Back when the love of custom trims was just beginning. 300hrs labour went into this LH Torana Showcar with full, handbuilt, customised interior for a customer.... All worth it when a vehicle you work on gets results like these!!! 2003 Hot Rod Show (Brisbane) - Qualified Top Ten (Second Outright Overall) - Top Sedan 71 on (Won) - Best of Breed Finalist. 2003 Best of Breed (Sydney - Australias Top 50 Cars) -- Top 12 - Top Showcar Featured in Street Machine Magazine - March 2005

10.01.2022 Just a couple of photos which may interest some of you. This photo shows the roof area of a Vw Tiguan after I have removed the headlining. You can clearly see the length of the side curtain airbags. When they are activated they push down past the edge of the headlining board and shield you from impact in the upper door area. Gotta be carefull working around these.

05.01.2022 This Coulsen seat was in pretty bad shape when it arrived in the workshop. It had a cracked frame and needed major foam repairs to the side bolsters and headrest. After the frame and foam were repaired we replaced the damaged fabric where needed. Seats with large bolsters like these are always prone to this type of wear as we tend to slide over them instead of " lifting" ourselves over. If your seat is showing signs of wear on the bolster it is better to get it repaired soone...r rather than later, as it will rapidly get worse once the foam is damaged. Sometimes if you push down on the top of your bolster you will feel that the foam is hollow feeling. This means that the foam has been damaged, usually by being cut into by the metal bars which are inside the bolster, ( see photo of bolster with foam removed). Sometimes this can happen without there being any visible damage to the seat cover. See more

02.01.2022 This is a custom parcel tray for an EH sedan that we finished last week. The Holden logo is raised and tilted backwards to allow it to be seen through the rear window. The silvery gold coloured vinyl is the same colour as the cars paint.

02.01.2022 This is a WB ute that we recently retrimmed. Rebuilt seats, headlining, rear wall, console, carpets, door trims and kickpanels. The seat frames were sandblasted, etch primed and painted, seat foams reinforced and repaired and then we made and fitted the new covers.

01.01.2022 These are a couple of photos of a pair of HK Holden sunvisors that I rebuilt recently. They were stripped down to the bare frames and fitted with a new board. They didn't originally have a backing board, and instead used the wire frame that you see in the photo to support the foam. The owner wanted them to have a " harder" look and finish to match the rest of his interior. (They originally used a softer foam in them which only gets softer as time goes by) The wire edging was ...left in place as it allows them to be returned to original if ever needed and also gives support to the new backing board. Once the board was fixed in place, it was covered with a thin layer of closed cell foam, and the foam hand sanded to remove any irregularities and give a smooth finish. The covers were then made using black vinyl, and were fitted to the new visor frames before being hand-stitched closed. See more
