18.01.2022 Meet Mick and Lisa, took over @hilltopkennels in 2007. The kennels were established way back in 1981, and remains a family-run business, fussing after any fur b...abies staying there. It's especially useful as a number of local accommodation facilities are not pet friendly. Mick and Lisa have a lifelong passion for animal care, welfare and nutrition and Lisa has over 15 years' veterinary experience with large and small animals. It allows the Hilltop team to cater for all kinds of animals, although they specialise in animals needing more care than most. Although they’ve had a significant decrease in business as lockdown continues, they love that their customers from Melbourne initially increased, as they were able to connect more with locals outside of their community. Mick says they’re thankful they can help locals and tourists get out and about without having to worry about their pets, and they’re always being told their customers feel better knowing their pets are safe and sound nearby.
