21.01.2022 Well what can I say, when your heart is bleeding to do the thing you have done for most of your life, and you can't because of an unknown, unseen enemy! Not jus...t your enemy, everyone's enemy! Take note, that my parents lived through World War 1 and World War 2 in London! Every night of bombing raids were spent in Air Raid Shelters with nothing but hope of survival! Most people under 70 (even me at 72) have not had this experience, but I do know from my parents recollection, that what they faced was far more serious than this Pandemic, because their threat was Man Made! So those that believe that this all a plot to take control of our lives, think about this. Is your TV still working? What about your Internet? Are you still driving your car, buying alcohol, so many things that we are still allowed to do! So are you really doing it so tough? No! You only think you are! And if you think life is tough at the moment, try living where they haven't had Lockdowns.....We are doing great considering no-one had the experience of what to do when it hit!....Rant over! TRILOGY: Not much has been happening since I live in Regional Vic. and Paul and Wayne live in Metro! Hoping to get together soon when Metro can meet Regional.......Keep you posted! MICK and the FERG: Considering we were well prepared for our first gig which was going to be at the Way Out West Roots and Blues back in August, and with the Entertainment Industry being on the bottom rung of the recovery ladder, it aint looking good for the future! The problem I see is "Crowd Control" A few beers and all the hard work to get things going again could be sacrificed! Keep you posted! FERG

19.01.2022 Email from Billy Pinnell: On Tue., 30 Jun. 2020, 3:27 pm Billy Pinnell, wrote: If live music is back on the agenda by Sunday August 2nd I'll be at Way Out West at the Newport Bowls Club to see guitarist Mick Elliott and his trio in action.... Mick is among the pantheon of rock music's great guitarists, find him on YouTube playing with Sid Rumpo, Matt Taylor's Western Flyer, Jim Keays' Southern Cross, Lynne Randell Band, Stars and more recently Los Borrachos. In 1976 when The Rolling Stones were looking for a guitarist to replace Mick Taylor, a legendary Australian musician suggested to Peter Rudge the Stones' tour manager at the time, that Mick Elliott would be an ideal choice. Mick's far too modest to Spruik that true story himself, he just lets his great talent do the talking. In 1978 Mick was invited to contribute to 'The Australian Guitar Album' (below) with contemporaries that included Lobby Loyde, Ian Moss, Ian Miller, Kevin Borich, Mario Millo. Billy Pinnell. Unfortunately this isn't happening but we are ready when it does!

15.01.2022 ***Announcement*** Due to the ongoing Covid 19 Pandemic, this 1st up performance has *****ATTENTION***** This event has been deferred to a future date, TBA in the future! Needles to say, but Mick and I are a bit disappointed, but given the circumstances, we and all concerned, believe it is the right decision! If we all adhere to the Health experts advise, we maybe be on again sooner or later! Let's hope for a vaccine to be soon fast!....Take care out there!

10.01.2022 Well today is Mick's Birthday, so why don't you send him a "Happy Birthday" on his FB page!

10.01.2022 Hi all! It is with much regret that it has been decided to put "Mick & Ferg" into hibernation due to this insidious virus virtually halting all normality! We understand the reasons for the lock down and our leaders are doing the best they can with an attack from an unknown enemy! We know that some of you have been excited about our venture, and let us tell you, no more than us! We have to let others fix this problem, and when and if things improve, we will keep you informed w...hen the hibernation finishes! Many thanks for encouragement must go to the following: Billy Pinnell Rob Rowe/Way Out West Roots Club Bayside Rehearsal Studios/Seaford And many friends who have given encouragement! PS. How come AFL continues on in a comical interpretation of the rules, flying anyway, acting as if nothing is happening, not complying with social spacing, hugging, groping, spitting, sweating etc! This does not send the right message out to the public! Why aren't they wearing Face Masks? Oh, that's right, "We are NOT ALL in this together"! Above PS is a personal statement from FERG!
