08.01.2022 Hilton (Quincey) Townsend - 161st Independent Reconnaissance Flight - Vietnam 1970-71, A few weeks ago I had a request from Hilton's wife Helen who wanted me to photograph him as part of my 'Reluctant Heroes' project. Myself and my good mate Francis headed down to their lovely property at Nathan near the Gold Coast to meet them. Deadset awesome people! and again treated us to a sensational morning tea and good chat with the opportunity to meet their beautiful family.... Today I presented Hilton with his print. The reaction was priceless! ....that's why I do it! .....thankyou Hilton for your service. And thankyou Helen for reaching out. An heirloom for your family.

04.01.2022 A magnificent image by a new Facebook friend Jennifer Gershon! This has inspired me to put a call out for any Artists in the South East of Queensland that would like to participate in an environmental portrait shoot to please get in touch. Wonderful work Jennifer!!

01.01.2022 Since I’ve been working on my ‘Reluctant Heroes’ project I’ve had numerous feedback and comments. But a common remark I get is ‘I wish I had a photo like this taken of my Dad, Mum, or other relative before they passed’. If you’d like to discuss an opportunity to have a veteran relative sit for a portrait session with me please get in touch.

01.01.2022 Finally have this tethering process happening that’s been complicated with the Sony system and Lightroom. A bit of Googling and YouTubeing and finally good to go! Got a few portrait sessions next that I’ll use to test it out.
