25.01.2022 I bought a stainless exhaust system off a customer some time ago. Been sitting in the shed , so time to get it on the xy. Was just going to bolt it on , but i thought i would give a test polish. So a few hours later system looks brand new. Tail pipes still need to be polished , doesn't make it sound any better , but even if no one see's it I know you know. The old system was HPC coated but it started to get surface rust on it. I sprayed it with heat proof aluminum paint. Stainless is the go.

17.01.2022 Here's a project that i am working on in the midst of a heavy workload. Using 3D printed moulds for bike fairings , first articles are full carbon epoxy lay up. These parts might be carbon skined once trimmed and test fitted to bike . Geoff has spent a lot of time on this project , good to see it coming to fruition. Keen to see the finished bike .

15.01.2022 If you are seeing this, its a good thing. Time to get the wheel tub mould made and start manufacturing carbon tubs. I shelved this project some months ago , i have put in the hours getting the pattern ready to start the mould. Sprayed the gelcoat tonight , kick off on lay up tomorrow. These are 34 inch tubs to suit radial tyres (34 x 25 x 25) . Made by vacuum infusion process , light weight , stiff and the look to back it up.

12.01.2022 Short video of carbon parts to finish off friday.

12.01.2022 Here is a little project that i have been toying with for about 4 years. I made the hull in 2016 a copy of a MHZ114 . This is a full carbon fibre lay up on the hull and fibreglass on the hatch. Put it in the shed for 3 years until i got the bug to start building it. Modified the rear to suit the rudder and drive units , this was a fair bit of work . Full white respray over the gelcoat , and then went to this multi colour paint scheme. I wanted to do something odd , instead ...of a symmetrical paint scheme. Picked up a pair of motors (40/92 1650kv)and speed controlls (220 amp ). Need a set of props and some batteries and finish set up. Should be quite capable of 100kph. See more

12.01.2022 Working on a saturday , and recieve these photos from pat. I made this bonnet some months back. Anyone who knows pat and this car can appreciate his workmanship. To me this speaks volumes that i provide a solid platform for the next guy that works on prep to paint on 1 of my products. I am a xy guy , but xr xt's are a big little brother to xy when build like this.

11.01.2022 Here another RX3dash being infused

11.01.2022 I made these intrusion bar infill panels earlier in the year , received a message this morning from peter . He is really happy with the fit and finish. Peter made mdf templates for me to work off. Safety and bling in 1.

11.01.2022 Bling and saftey for intrusion bars for promod. Double sided gloss raw carbon. Step 1.

10.01.2022 CTO3 67 inch catamaran infusion. Last job for the year.

10.01.2022 Last job for the year , fairlane bonnet with 2 inch cowl scoop. I use a 4 inch cowl svoop and cut it down , doing this the scoop needs to be lenghtend to fit the bonnet from the front. Scoop is laminated on both inside and outside and the inside if filled and smoothed with polyurathane foam and then laminated to give a better cosmetic finish. All the inner surface is finished with peel ply so no fibre pattern finish. Bonnet weighs 11.1 kg

10.01.2022 Happy father's day.

10.01.2022 Here is a 2 minute video on the carbon dry stacking on the fj holden front clip mould. This is roughly 9 hours of dry stacking so far , and a lot more still to do.

08.01.2022 Hey everyone , just wanted to say that as of this week i will need to focus on the workload i have booked in for the next few months. This will limit the amount of work that I can take on board up until xmas. I hope everyone understands that the booked in work has to come first. I also have some product development that i need to work on as well , as i have had to stop on this for the past few months. I am truly honoured to have such a great customer base that i have worked hard to achieve.Thank you for your support over the years, Cheers Mick

08.01.2022 Some photos of the dry stack on the 2002 mustang bonnet. Raw carbon finish , 2 x 2 twill and double bias carbon as well as uni directional carbon and 4 harness carbon. 3 mm foam core used in areas. Demoulded this week , trimmed and detailed the part edges. Just over 5000 grams. This is a large bonnet 1600 mm long and 1500mm wide total including the scoop. Sealed the inner surface to stop chemical impregnation.

06.01.2022 Xa Falcon bonnet set up for moulding.

06.01.2022 Rebirth of a old catamaran , 18 year old cat i modified by cutting lenght out of it. Joined back together and preped for new moulds. All new moulds made with tooling gelcoat and vinylester resin . Full raw carbon fibre finish , all made by infusion process. Added some colour to the cat before topcoat clear as what the customer wanted. Weigh was about 5000 grams , customer has set up the cat with electric motors and has since reached speeds of 108 mph testing and setting it up.

06.01.2022 Finished off this new full carbon fibre rear bar for sean's mustang yesterday. Super light weight and stiff using 3 layers of carbon with vinylester resin. 3604.5 grams compared to original unit of over 10 kg.

05.01.2022 Raw carbon RX3 dash's , under 1000 grams each. Go fast , go light weight composites.

04.01.2022 I had a mate send me a link to some moulds for sale , picked them up today. LH LX Torana bonnet / guards and nosecone moulds. I will need to trim the nosecone mould and wetrub and polish the moulds to get a good glossy surface finish on the parts. Time to make some lightweight composites holden panels.

04.01.2022 Last job done for the year , 67 inch rc catamaran hull dry stack.

04.01.2022 Infusion process on the FJ Holden front clip.

04.01.2022 So this is happening at MMC World headquarters.Carbon dry stacking.

02.01.2022 Here's a repair project i did this week , carbon fibre injector hat. Back fire above the supercharger results in carnage to the hat. I preped both inner and outer surfaces to laminate the repairs. 2 layers of carbon on the outside and 3 layers on the inside with 50 mm of overlap onto each side of the join. I then preped the outer surface to skin the hat with 2 x 2 twill weave to give it a fresh finish. The aluminum butterfly bracket was removed and cleaned of fractured adhesive and carbon and rebonded in place.

02.01.2022 1 of the cars I did modification on last year. Good to see Wade still at the top of his game.

01.01.2022 Infusion dry stacking and shoot.
