24.01.2022 Jungle Surf has positions available for immediate start. These positions will be based at Jungle Surf, Tuncurry. Position one Jungle Surf is seeking a motivate...d and customer focused individual to join our team as a retail sales assistant. We are looking for someone on a permanent part time basis (4 days per week), which will include school holidays and weekends. We have a broad customer base and we are looking for someone who will continue our friendly customer service to all our customers. Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential. Those who are not passionate about surfing, stand up paddle boarding and the surf industry need not apply. The successful applicant would possess the following attributes A high knowledge of surfing, stand up paddle boarding and surf related products. Deliver an exceptional customer experience everyday/everytime. Work well within a small team environment both supervised and unsupervised. Be able to follow directions and where appropriate give direction. Be accountable and demonstrate ability to work within frameworks, systems and our business structure. Demonstrate a passion for all surf and water sport related activities. Be punctual, well dressed and take pride in their appearance. A high level of communication, verbal and written. Be full of energy and excitement! Responsibilities will include Selling Attending to customer enquiries Receiving goods/unpacking stock/inventory and stock control Reporting on product sales, stock levels and productivity. Open/Close of premises General day to day cleaning duties Assistance with web sales Assistance with social media Supervision of junior staff Day to day retail duties. A salary will be paid in line with the General Retail Industry Award, depending on skills and experience. Staff discounts and rewards available. We will consider a gap year applicant who is looking for a 12 month contract before embarking on future endeavours at university.
