22.01.2022 So Jon von Goes rang to ask if I’d contribute a track for his Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM Radiothon show this Sunday and I said I’d be happy to. And he told me the theme (Now More Than Ever) and I made a suggestion and he said, sure everyone would want to sing on that and so the call went out and here is what we ended up with. Full Roving Commission contribution (Franz still in Perth, Wally and Dave locked down on the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas) myself, plus another laz...y five singers: Brooke Russell, Tim Rogers, Angie Hart, Emma Heeney, Sophie Koh, Celia Church. All done in total isolation and mixed by Pilkington at Audrey Studios Reservoir. It is sounding THE BUSINESS and I reckon I might even be able to feel another record coming on. And the song? Big congratulations go to Steven Oliver and all the fantastic artists and also to brother Steve and sister in law Kath at Roar Film and to Craig Pilkington at Audrey Studios. (But I think it must be the cracking ten seconds of banjo rifferama that’s getting it across the line). There’s still tickets for tonight’s MFF premiere - let’s get in there and share this thing. It’s a great piece of work.

My brother Steve and his partner Kath from Roar Film are producers, Craig Pilkington recorded most of the music at Audrey Studios (and I contributed a wacking great 15 seconds of banjo). Steven Oliver Official is fantastic as narrator - but his poetry really is next level. So many excellent performances in this. Such a great doco. And check the banjo!
