18.01.2022 Microboards Australia are running the Is There a Better Way 12 week Online Learning Program for families (and their supporters). The Is There a better Way 12 week program is an online learning and family partnership program developed to provide opportunities for families to explore how we understand the experiences of our loved one and what we can do to plan for effective and sustainable supports to first improve theirs and your own wellbeing and to reduce the likelihood of b...ehaviours that can be challenging occurring. So what does it look like? * Approximately 11 hours of online learning based on the ITaBW neuroscience, wellbeing and co-regulation approach to support. *. Access to 4 group coaching sessions with ITaBW team members, family mentors and likeminded peers. *. Access to resources and tools you can use in an ongoing way. *. Access to an online discussion forum with other families and the ITaBW team. We are committed to developing ways to support families that we regularly evaluate our services including the ITaBW 12 week program. A recent evaluation of the program indicated fantastic outcomes for families which we are happy to share if you’d like to know more. The next round of the 12 week program will be commencing on the 22nd March. 04.01.2022 This is exciting news! Jane Farrall has launched her online literacy course for people with Complex Communication Needs, at an affordable rate for families and teams. Jane co-wrote our Literacy for All unit in the Post Graduate Certificate: Complex Communication Needs which runs at Edith Cowan University, and we love her work, which is completely aligned with microboard values and principles.
