25.01.2022 To obtain the best plants and harvest you need to work on the soil. This takes time and there is no real quick fix but in the long run it is extremely rewarding Almost a decade ago now, this vineyard owner started trials with Microtek Organics After a season he was more than happy to continue on his entire vineyard and hasn't looked back Another successful delivery to a vineyard that uses our range This owner could not be happier with the results
24.01.2022 This raspberry plant was added to our collection late last year It only had one stem which was not looking the best and then it went dorment through winter after producing only 2 berries The original stem has since been removed and this is what happens when the plant is happy I think it will provide enough raspberries for at least a smoothie this season
22.01.2022 Now that the warmer weather is here our glasshouse range is flying off the pallets Stocked exclusively by PP Hortico in Virginia SA. Pop in to see Thahn to get your glasshouse growing right
22.01.2022 It's a slippery slope. Fish beware
22.01.2022 Its true what they say, some of the best places are right in your own backyard I can only imagine living here in the day without the hustle and bustle of modern society Remember we just need to take a deep breath to relax and refocus on what's really important
20.01.2022 These 3 strawberry plants were given to us that had started growing in someone's gutter They were pulled out, put in a plastic bag and weren't looking the best when they eventually made it to usI put them in some random pots we had lying thinking I would keep the one that survived I also gave these guys Microtek to see how they went Now I can't decide on which one to keep....I think I'll need 3 new pots now. Lucky my family likes strawberries
20.01.2022 With weather like this it's really hard not to love the outdoors So much colour
20.01.2022 Who knew there were that many species of worms in the world beneath us? I sure didn't
20.01.2022 Our boysenberry plant is starting to produce some what I know is going to be delicious berries Just have to protect the fruit from the birds now so we can make boysenberry ice cream
19.01.2022 Trial update Broadacre trials have officially begun on 17 hectares of some young barley The Liquid Kelp and Nitrogen Plus went out at 5L per hectare via boom spray to give the barley and the soil some much needed love Stay tuned for more updates
18.01.2022 Just a quick update on our tomato plant trials It's amazing what 3 weeks can do when the plants start to warm up and get some sun Which one would you bet on?
17.01.2022 Can't argue with that
17.01.2022 This juvenile Grey Strike Thrush is third generation from one particular nest in one of our open sheds It was going strong until it was learning to fly and got entangled in the many cobwebs around Thankfully I found it hiding in the corner by following its distress calls. I was actually able to reach it and eventually free it from its entanglement only to be harassed by its mother the minute I had finished I hope the juvenile stood up for me and set the record straight with its mother
15.01.2022 These lilies pop up every season right out side the work shed They always let me know that spring is on the way
12.01.2022 Will you look at spaghetti differently from now on?
12.01.2022 These tomato plants we planted from seed in April have seen it all. Minus temperatures along with heavy wind and rain, completely exposed during the winter just been I was curious to see if they could survive during the winter extremes while I made some comparisons. These trials are still underway, however, we are really looking forward to how they go during spring. How do you think they are going so far? Many more details to come

09.01.2022 First of all, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Fathers day on such a spectacular spring day Secondly, a big thanks to @tessawrightnutrition and my beautiful twins for making this Father's day one I'll never forget during our relaxing walk around home it was quite obvious that spring has sprung. All we had to do was look around and appreciate all the flowers (weeds and all) to further brighten the day
06.01.2022 At Microtek Organics we understand that change can be scary, especially when we are surrounded by uncertainty This is why for the months of September and October 2020 we are offering anyone willing to perform scientific trials huge discounts Fields include everything including Viticulture, Broadacre, Orchards or Gardens. For anyone willing to apply (either large or small scale) pricing will be slashed. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of send us a DM and we will touch base with you. Once you trial Microtek Organics you won't go back.
03.01.2022 Our raspberry plant looked great last week..... However, it's amazing how quickly an issue can arise After some collaboration with people who know all about this stuff I found out it was spider mite Some of the leaves were covered with webs on the underside of the leaf. Don't forget to check both sides of the leaf if issues arise as problems aren't always nutrient based. The more I know
03.01.2022 It doesn't seem like much, but when all these major components work as one the soil transforms into a thriving, living ecosystem This is the way we should view all soils
03.01.2022 Fathers day is fast approaching. Today and tomorrow is your last chance to pick this up for dad. Free delivery within the Barossa Valley area. Send DM to organise ASAP
02.01.2022 I've always thought it's great to support local clubs where possible The Light Archers in Kapunda have been around for just over a year so when I heard they were doing a fundraising raffle during their State Clout competition I was more than happy to help. Our 2.5l Liquid Kelp was on the prize table amongst some great food and wine that the Barossa has to offer The weather for the competition was a bit average but it seems like everyone is having a great time Cheers Light Archers for the great day. @ Kapunda, South Australia
02.01.2022 Who knows what this is? Well, we found out that this is what happens when you forget about spring onions in your garden It doesn't matter how busy you get, the gardens still keep growing
01.01.2022 I wonder if the book was better than the movie
01.01.2022 Sometimes I'm really glad we dont throw out everything When I finally recieved my new labels I had to think of something to make my life easier When I combined a heap of stuff we had lying around with some ingenuity it resulted in something that sort of resembled the design in my head It's not something that I would build to sell but it does the job for me
