So here is some great news worth spreading, especially if you know a first home buyer looking to build a brand new home. For first home buyers, Stamp Duty will be either eliminated or reduced on newly-built homes as part of the NSW Government’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan. It means Stamp Duty will be ELIMINATED on newly-built homes below $800,000 and thousands of dollars slashed for properties up to $1 million. The NSW Government will also continue to offer a $10,000 First Home Owner Grant, which is available to people buying a new first home worth up to $600,000, Between these 2 initiatives, many first home buyer will be financially better off (and perhaps eating fewer meals of 2-minute noodles ) For local construction businesses and tradies it means MORE WORK and MORE JOBS at a time when we need them more than ever before.
