01.01.2022 Please sign and share! The devastating impact feral horses have on our wildlife and environment is irrefutable. The rapidly growing numbers of feral horses are ...destroying the habitats of threatened and unique Australian species. This includes endangered plant species, valuable wetland habitats, even spoiling water retention in the soil and degrading the water quality of three of our iconic rivers - the Snowy, Murrumbidgee and the Murray. Some of our native species at risk are the Broad-toothed Mouse (Mastacomys fuscus), the Alpine Crayfish (Euastacus crassus), the Guthega Skink (Liopholis guthega), and the spectacularly coloured Corroboree Frog (Pseudophryne corroboree). To protect these marvels of nature, we must protect their fragile and pristine homes.
