24.01.2022 No travel restrictions for these international travellers! But they do need to isolateto survive! As you can see, eggs and chicks are tiny and hard to spot. These holidays, when you’re on the Beach, especially in vehicles or with your dog, tread carefully, stay out of fenced nesting areas and obey signage. You’ll be helping to protect the nests and eggs of these amazing and endangered shorebirds.... They’ve travelled a long way from Russia and Japan to breed here on the #MidCoast. 08.01.2022 Every summer, from August to March, threatened beach-nesting birds raise their chicks on our beaches. Hooded plovers, pied oystercatchers and beach-stone curlews are locals to these beaches all year-round, while little terns make the massive journey from places as far away as South-East Asia to return home to our beaches to nest. Unleashed domestic dogs pose a major threat to these birds during this vulnerable period. However, there are things you can do to share the shore with these amazing birds. Find out more and watch the video via this link: https://bit.ly/3mJ6N0t
