16.01.2022 I love how practical this laundry is, wish I had seen this before we renovated ours. I see a lot of people renovating to make the space look pretty, I appreciate how she has thought about the functionality of this laundry for her family. A lot of great ideas here.
15.01.2022 #Repost @johgriggs7 (@get_repost) Part 1 of Friday’s story (for me at least) on Better Homes and Gardens focuses on The Port Macquarie Food Hub - which is a... phenomenal initiative born out of desperate circumstances due to Covid-19. Many of the leading food producers and farmers on the NSW Mid North Coast all of a sudden lost anywhere from 50-100% of their regular orders and dealings with clientele. So Andrew Hearne from Near River Produce had an idea, and a very tech savvy wife in Therese who could make the dream an online reality within a matter of days. Andrew started calling other farmers, and then broached Eric and Monica Robinson from The Other Chef for some space to operate the food hub out of (The Other Chef is the most extraordinary production facility and store, full of delicious handcrafted and award winning products like sauces, relishes, black garlic, pickles, jams, homemade pastas etc.) Now anyone who can travel there - can order online, and collect their ridiculously fresh produce every Thursday. The quality is off the scale, everything is seasonal and full of nutrients.... the meats are packaged locally and by using the hub, you are supporting the local farming families and enterprises directly. There are 17 businesses involved now and it’s constantly growing. It’s such a great idea. My only regret is that I don’t live close enough to use it myself every week! (Mind you - I filled the esky and car up on the day!!) This was such a super positive story to cover. I absolutely loved it. Here’s a list of the producers currently available.
