19.01.2022 Around 100 people enjoyed Australia Day at Middle Beach this year. There was a sausage sizzle, sandcastle competition, egg & spoon race, plenty of water activities for the kids and more!

14.01.2022 Bring your gazebos/tents, BBQ and deck chairs and come together for a picnic at Middle Beach! Australia Day at Middle beach used to be an ... awesome day brought together by members of the community. It was full of fun, games and relaxation. Unfortunately the tradition somehow iust stopped. Let's bring Middle Beach back to life!! There is plenty of open space, a creek perfect for swimming and lots of shallow areas great for little ones. Bring your floaty's and pool/ beach toys. Also great for kayaking and crabbing. Don't forget your esky, plenty of drinks and sunscreen. There are public toilets available. High tide on Australia day is at 8am and 8ÿ30 pm so i'm guessing between 10am and 6pm would be perfect for setting up your picnic sites. Feel free to help make this day great! Bring some fun and games to share. We have a donation of sacks for a sack race, and an egg and spoon race. maybe someone has a large rope for a tug of war over the creek? Please comment with your ideas. And anyone with some old photos of the previous picnics at Middle Beach please feel free to share them. This event is created by YOU. No-one "runs" this event and everyone is welcome. Together.......let's make it a fantastic day.

06.01.2022 Middle Beach Bird Sanctuary and Recreation Park has opened a group called "Friends of Middle Beach" if you would like to keep up to date with current and future Middle Beach plans, concerns, thoughts and ideas please join the group. The group intends to form a committee to support Middle Beach entirely. You do not have to become a committee member, you can just join the group to stay informed and show your support. However the more committee members there are, the bigger the results! We need to be able to show that there is a want and need for improvement to Middle Beach! Please help make this happen.
