The biggest, positioned in the centre of the cluster,was named Middle Percy Island..by Matthew Flinders in September 1802. Located in Qld, 100 kilometers S.E of Mackay, it is remote, pristine, wild and beautiful. A 12 hr sail by private yacht or 45 mins by Helicopter..once visited, never forgotten. There are some very unique aspects to Middle Percy Island, amazing history and big personalities..Welcome to 'Secrets of the Coral Sea'...
05.01.2022 Pine Islet Lighthouse was decommissioned last week.....as no longer needed by mariners apparently. All inquiries to AMSA Navigation Division. So no more flashing light at West Bay to guide you in at night or keep one awake !!
