24.01.2022 I know lots of parents are interested in building their child's resilience and it is certainly something we spend a lot of time on here at school. A parent has recommended this book as a great resource for her child to build their resilience, provide strategies and reflect. Maybe something for the Christmas stocking?

21.01.2022 A big crowd at Sporting Schools this afternoon! This program runs every Monday & Thursday afternoon from 3.30-4.30pm, afternoon tea included. Heaps of fun and it is free!

20.01.2022 Today we celebrated Kirk’s 21st birthday! Kirk attended MKPS and worked with Michael and Di during his time there. Kirk told us today he has many happy memories of MKPS and he laughed remembering a lot of them! He remains a regular visitor to our school. HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY KIRK!

19.01.2022 Alex, Hamish & Jacob’s turn today for a hot chocolate, cake & chat. Their advice to students heading into Gr 4/5/6 is always do your homework! Their highlights have been camp and the Maths competition.

14.01.2022 Lego challenge during our buddies session today. Next Thursday, the 2021 preps will meet their buddies for next year!

10.01.2022 Update- so crazy! The other two Kinglake schools and the KRCC are closed. As we have a generator and we have water we aren’t legally permitted to close. We have no power or heating and no staff, and Vic Roads have deemed it unsafe to travel, so if you can keep your kids home please do so. Keep safe everyone. Our shade sails didn’t fair so well!

05.01.2022 Power is back on at school but I have been in touch with my boss who has said once the Regional Director closes a school it is to remain closed. Our playground isn’t safe and they can’t be sure if the power will stay on. Sorry for the inconvenience but we will be all ready to welcome everyone back on Tuesday!

04.01.2022 Good morning everyone! What a crazy night! There is no power at school, Michael has the generator running for water and communications but no lighting or heating unfortunately! Rug up! Apparently there are lots of trees down so stay safe on your travels to school. If you’re not coming to school let us know so we know you are safe.
