17.01.2022 On Friday evening we enjoyed a very successful 'Welcome to Spring' barbecue with about eighty local folk. A most convivial evening, with a lot of laughter and conversation. What was especially nice was when so many people offered to help set things up and then clean up afterwards. Special thanks to the Hall Committee, and to Keith for his considerable expertise in washing so many dishes!

16.01.2022 You might have seen my post calling for a cleaner for the Hall; we now have a new cleaner, so I thank those who responded so quickly.

14.01.2022 Friday night's Blacktie and Boardies fundraiser was an amazing success with over 240 people attending, and again our Hall showed us what a superb venue it is. The wonderful Jen Watts organised it, and a big band of eager folk helped set it up and then clean up later in the night and on Saturday morning. Jen tells us over $40,000 were raised, to be distributed straight to those on the island who need it. Special thanks to the Flaming Sambucas for their amazing show. Who knew so many people could do the Nutbush?
