21.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM: SEAN Sean is Practice Principal at Midland Physio, and he believes that any health care should be a collaborative process between you and the clinician, working together to achieve your goals, whatever they may be. Over the years, Sean has worked with many elite level athletes, including being part of the Hopman Cup medical team for many years, but he is equally inspired to help everyone to solve their problems and get the best out of their lives.... Sean has special areas or interest in treating headaches, shoulder pain and neck pain. He has a strong focus on the professional development of the whole team within Midland Physiotherapy, so that they are delivering not only the best clinical experience, but also the best customer service experience possible for you. He is always keeping active, playing golf, basketball and indoor cricket, and having previously done the Ironman Triathlon, the Avon Descent and Rottnest Channel Swim. He is now trying to learn how to surf (very badly at this stage) and he loves to spend time with his family of three teenage kids.

It has been an unusual year this year, but these incredible people have worked hard to keep our clinics open and safe during Covid-19. ... They are the most hard working and passionate people. We are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team. Everyone enjoyed our Tropicana themed Christmas party at 77 Social where many drinks were had and laughs shared. Cheers to another amazing year

Our Physiotherapist Susan is demonstrating an exercise called ‘thread the needle’ which is a great movement to improve and maintain thoracic spine mobility. 10.01.2022 How incredible is this photo?! Our Remedial Massage Therapist Mary, has been enjoying the last couple of months travelling around Australia. So far she has gone from Esperance across the Nullarbor to the north coast of Adelaide’s small towns like Coffin Bay and Streaky Bay and she had some fresh oysters from Port Lincoln’s local oyster farms all the way down to Sellicks Beach, Hallet Cove, Myponga, Normanville and up to Mt Gambier. ... She also went to Barossa Valley and Mouth Barker just around Adelaide City. She is now heading up again to Coober Pedy and all the way up to Alice Springs. The photos are absolutely amazing and we hope Mary is having a wonderful time on her travels. We miss you Mary!

She has been modelling on and off for 10 years and is a mentor for younger aboriginal youth who are interested in the modelling industry.... Tegan has 3 fur babies that take up a lot of her time outside of work. They enjoy their walks in the Perth hills and a swim in their paddle pool.

02.01.2022 Should I see a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist? Our Pelvic Health Physiotherapist Emma, has undergone additional training and education to help treat and manage women, men and children who have symptoms related to pelvic floor dysfunction. This can include problems related to the bladder, bowel or sexual functioning. Examples of these include:... Leaking from the bladder or bowel with coughing, sneezing, laughing or during exercise Difficulty starting the flow of urine or emptying the bladder fully Experiencing a sudden urge to empty the bladder or bowel and needing to rush to get to the toilet in time, or leaking on the way Needing to empty the bladder more often than normal Constipation, straining to complete a bowel movement or the feeling of the bowel not being completely emptied Prolapse, which can be felt as a heaviness or bulge in the vagina or rectum Pain around the pelvic region Pain or discomfort with sexual intercourse, difficulty or pain using tampons Emma is also able to assess and treat men pre and post prostate surgery, women pre and post gynaecology surgery, women experiencing musculoskeletal complaints in pregnancy, postnatal check ups including guidance on returning to exercise and ultrasound therapy for breastfeeding complaints such as engorgement and mastitis.
