24.01.2022 Well done to the five participants who braved the 50 to 60km per hour winds and took part in our first on course session yesterday. The girls group managed to get through their nine holes of golf, whilst the boys group retired after only six! Just a reminder that the next on course session will be held on Sunday 29th May from 11:00am to 1:30pm.

23.01.2022 The Midlands Golf Club are set to launch their new junior golf program, the Midlands Cadets. Midlands Cadets is a junior development program that is fun, safe, ...non-intimidating and affordable for all. The program aims to develop the skills and knowledge of the participants to a level where they are ready to play in club-based and district competitions. 20.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder to all participants that there will be NO Cadets Program next Monday the 13th of June due to the Queens Birthday Public Holiday.

18.01.2022 What a fantastic first session of the of the Midlands Golf Club Cadets yesterday afternoon! It was fantastic to see so many participants come along to be apart of the program. 11.01.2022 What a great session for all those who attended the Cadets Program last night! Was fantastic to see even more participants joining in the program. 10.01.2022 The Midlands Cadets junior golf program is back for Term 4 and we look forward to your child’s involvement. We have made a small number of exciting changes to the program, including: The introduction of two squads: - A MyGolf Squad that offers participants a healthy environment to start learning the basics of the game... - A Development Squad that offers participants skill development sessions and supervised on course playing opportunities The purchase of over $2,800 worth of new equipment for our participants to use Development Squad incentive prizes, comprising Midlands Cadets shirts, caps, jumpers and towels TERM 4 PROGRAM The program will commence on Monday 17th October, with the first session running from 4:00pm to 5:15pm. At the conclusion of this session, participants will be placed in either the MyGolf Squad or the Development Squad. PROGRAM FEES The fee to participate in the Midlands Cadets junior golf program is $45 per term. Participants will automatically receive cadet / junior membership of the Midlands Golf Club. Participants born in 2004 or later can register and pay for the program by visiting the MyGolf website http://www.mygolf.org.au/default.aspx. Please note that the purchase of a MyGolf Participant Pack is optional and will cost an additional $19.07. 10.01.2022 The information session for Term 2 program will be held on Monday the 11th of April at the Midlands Golf Club. There will be 2 sessions being held on this evening. * Potential new members please attend the 6:00pm introductory session * Existing members please attend the 6:30pm session... 09.01.2022 Our first supervised on course playing opportunity will be held THIS Sunday 1st May from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The Sunday sessions are designed to cater for participants (either MyGolfers or club juniors) that have some on course playing experience. When making the decision whether your child is ready to participate in this aspect of the program, we ask that you take into consideration the following: - Participants will be playing off the School Sport Victoria, gold or red te...es. The School Sport Victoria tees shorten the length of each hole par 3 holes measure 100m, par 4 holes measure 200m and par 5 holes measure 300m. - We need to maintain a steady pace of play, as there will be other club members and green fee players out on the course. So that we have an indication of how many group supervisors will be required for Sunday 1st May, please email [email protected] to confirm whether or not your child will participating. Good hitting!

09.01.2022 The Midlands Golf Club Cadets Program for Term 2 is drawing to a conclusion, with only one Monday session to go (20th June). We have two supervised on course playing opportunities remaining: Sunday 19th June Sunday 26th June... Both sessions will run from 11:00am to 1:30pm. If your child intends to participate in either or both of these on course sessions, please email me at [email protected] and I will organise a suitable number of coaches to be in attendance. 08.01.2022 Due to poor weather conditions the Midlands Cadets Program is cancelled for this afternoon (Monday the 20th of June). There will be a presentation evening on Tuesday the 12th of July. Invitations with more information on this event will be sent out as soon as possible.

Unfortunately due to the Ballarat & District Golf Pennant Finals being held at Midlands this coming Sunday, on course play will be postponed to Sunday the 22nd of May.
