25.01.2022 Today we left America and jumped on a direct flight to Africa!! Africa will be the next continent we will be exploring, beginning next week when all flights have landed The weather was not very kind to us today, limiting our outdoor opportunities so we engaged in a lot of indoor play which included a lot of child initiated experiences and spontaneous experiences based on children know interest. ... Two that were really popular were painting and playdough, exploring with a different tool to paint with and loads of 3D creations coming from the playdough area!

23.01.2022 Today at Cressy Child Care Service, Noel from Woolworths Prospect came to visit and awarded us with a Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant. These funds are greatly appreciated and will assist the service in re- vamping our outdoor environment! Our aim for the service is to embed more sustainable practices where children will be given opportunities for hands on learning, and for children to further develop their awareness, respect, and appreciation for the natural environment!

11.01.2022 VACATION CARE NEWS! Today many children enjoyed trying their hand at origami. We seen some great creations such as tigers, birds, jumping frogs, snakes and even an origami car! After lunch we each made a kite out of recycled plastic bags, string and sticks. They were then taken outside, only to find the wind had settled down and running was the only way to get them going!! ... Colouring in, construction and play dough were other popular experiences throughout the day!

10.01.2022 At Perth LDC we ran over our Fire Evacuation plan ( will do this a couple of times this week) and engaged in a drill. The children and Educators did a great job with the children that knew what to do, informing and assisting the new children that have entered the service
