NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Did you know!?!? NAIDOC originally stood for ‘National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee’. This committee was once responsible for organising national activities during NAIDOC Week and its acronym has since become the name of the week itself. 09.01.2022 On Saturday 28th November Ken Goodlet will be leading a small group of walkers on a walk exploring the Valley of the Waters creek and gorge in Wentworth Falls. To ensure the walk happens safely and within current COVID restrictions you will need to book to join the walk. If you are interested in joining us for this walk please contact Kerin at the Mid Mountains Hub (4759 2592) prior to 12noon Thursday 26th November.

07.01.2022 Every job is easier when you have the right tools! If you have some old or blunt gardening tools that you would like to breathe new life into, come along to the Mid Mountains Community Garden Tool Maintenance Workshop - 9:30 am next Saturday 12th December. Happy gardening!

04.01.2022 We are so happy to see that some of our social and support groups are now starting to return to our Neighbourhood Centres. If you would like to get out of the house or meet new people in a positive environment, or if you need a little extra support or have a hobby or special interest you would like to follow, then there is probably a community group for you! Have a look at this article in the Gazette for some information and ideas. If we don't have a group that suits you, cha...nces are we'll be able to help you find one. So please call us at Belong Blue Mountains if you would like to find out more. The Bushwalkers Group walk planned for this Saturday 28th has had to be unexpectedly cancelled.
