Results: Elected for New South Wales: David Ricketts & Sara Grills Elected for South Queensland: Brett Welsh The Society would like to sincerely thank all the candidates and the outgoing Directors. The ASHS would also like to welcome returning Director, Brett Welsh and incoming Directors, David Ricketts and Sara Grills and Director for Victoria, David Nash. This election was conducted electronically for the first time which was highly successful and saw an increase in voter participation from previous Board elections. 05.01.2022 From the Registration Department BRANDING FOR ASH HORSE REGISTRATION Horses must be clearly branded so the horse can be identified. It is recommended the Owner’...s Brand is placed on the near shoulder and Numeral Brands on the off shoulder, or in accordance with the Department of Agriculture in the State or Territory where the branding takes place. Numeral brands consist of an Identification Number (being the top brand) and a Foaling Season Number (being the bottom brand). IDENTIFICATION NUMBER - Signifies the order in which horses born in the same foaling season were branded with the same Stock Brand. If a number of horses are being branded with the same Stock Brand and Foaling Season Number 9, the horses would be branded 1 over 9, 2 over 9, 3 over 9, etc. FOALING SEASON NUMBER - Foaling season is defined as a twelve-month period starting on 1st August and ending 31st July of the following year. The foaling season number is abbreviated to a single digit which relates to the foaling season (not calendar year) the horse is born, not the calendar year. Example: a foal born between 1st August 2019 and 31st July 2020 would carry a foaling season number of 9.
