24.01.2022 Devotion is the easiest way, because it is sweet it brings joy, love and beauty. This is me worshipping Shiva today, being an expression of natarajasana. Shiva is always in a blissful state in the midst of constant change and chaos. He is the destruction and transformation that abides within ourselves. Natarajasana - Shiva dancing pose When you balance in one leg you may feel uncomfortable and you may loose your balance and strength. In order to be an expression of this po...se you need to re focus your mind and find your foundation at your feet. It takes practice to find balance and strength when we are challenged. But once you put this combination of difficult skills together, you may rise with an open heart, strong in your structure and flexible in the movement and... at peace! Natarajasana teach us that when we overcome the challenge that we are facing at the moment, with a positive attitude, we attain a sense of peace and grace. Try yourself, and try again and again...
23.01.2022 What a true joy is to be of service sharing yoga from the heart. I honor my teachers and all the great teachers of Yoga for passing down the sacred teachings of Yoga with so much love. Below is an exert of the great Master B.K.S Iyengar - light on yoga. So inspiring! . . .... . Happy is the man who knows how to distinguish the real from the unreal, the eternal from the transient and the good from the pleasant by his discrimination and wisdom. Twice blessed is he who knows true love and can love all Gods creatures. He who works selflessly for the welfare of others with love in his heart is thrice blessed. But the man who combines within his mortal frame KNOWLEDGE, LOVE and SELFLESS SERVICE is holy and becomes a place of pilgrimage: those who meet him become calm and purified.

22.01.2022 The example of Jesus shows that God is all-forgiving and that man need never fear Him. . . . .... . . . Forgive them father, for they know not what they do. Forgive them means : heavenly father forgive prosecutors from suffering the results of their wrong actions against me. For they know not what they do means : all actions, consciously or unconsciously performed, are committed under the influence of innate human ignorance. Any soul who has attained divine wisdom will do no evil. Today I pray that we all crucify our ignorance and evil customs and habits and rise from the tomb of narrowness of race and. Lass prejudice into the openness of brotherhood and universal union. That when our minds are crucified with trials and temptations that we may ride into the sphere of self-control. When entombed in sorrow, resurrect ourselves into happiness. When buried beneath restlessness, resurrect our mind into calmness in deep meditative silence.I Om
22.01.2022 I have accepted it!!!! . . . .... . . Last week I broke into tears when seeing my master in the other side of the screen. I could feel her. All my beliefs had just been unmasked, in the very first second of the class. Throughout the practice I realised that my tears were washing away the resistance that I was unknowingly holding. As I found myself forcing to adapt to the new ways of being of service, sharing yoga, teaching I failed to notice not only that but the fact that I havent accepted the change. So many beliefs and thoughts were clouding my vision and my feelings. Now, it is with much Joy and gratitude that I announce that I am teaching live streamed classes and a self practice program. If you are interested - let me know. Live classes - Australia time 10:15am Saturday 5pm Tuesday

19.01.2022 when we are upside down there is very little space to think! Inversion poses give us the opportunity to energize and realign us both mentally and physically. . . . .... . . . . Like all balancing poses, require you to feel comfortable with instability. As a result of the primal human fear of failing, we become rigid (in our practise and our life!), Trying to regain control and locking things tightly. We become less able to be present and to make sensitive adjustments to bring ourselves back into balance. Be like a child, with an attitude of curiosity and enthusiasm, bring your focus on the process of handstand explorations This practise takes work, each muscle has to be awakened, just as each thought learning to invert is a gift! Have a go!
19.01.2022 Just a short self practice suggestion here for today! if you are not into yoga, enjoy the song by Maaji and Sanjaya
17.01.2022 Home sweet home. I used to feel guilt for coming back home and feeling like that my holiday has just started . . .... . . . For some years now, I choose to focus on what I like to do, to think, to be...and implemented a new structure into my life. Now my life is just a reflection of this discipline. Purely. I owe everything to the scary and triggering DISCIPLINE.. I used to feel guilt when people around me asked - what are you doing today? Knowing that they would be driving to work to be locked inside all day long. I also used to feel guilt in saying that my disciplined life have been easier than I thought it would be - I used to think that in order to achieve a goal I needed to struggle, to suffer. Otherwise I didnt deserve it or I couldnt prove myself how strong I am. I used to feel guilty for living my life in this way, with ease and in service of mySelf and others. Because it is expected that we do not like our job, our routine, our habits and the way we interact with others. so I used to think it wasnt fair for me to be different. I also used to feel guilt in saying that I dont celebrate things with a drink anymore. Now, I celebrate things with my heart and feel waves of pure joy, more and more. Nope, I am not living in a cave, I actually live in a forest neither I run away from my people. I have only one day a week in silence that I usually cheat (talking to my stubborn dog). I also used to feel guilt in sharing all these. Fearing that people would think I am perfect and that I never loose balance or experience struggles. And so if they listen to my advice here or in class, they would give up straight away when facing the first challenge. My master suggested me once... to find what you like to do, to find what makes you feel grounded and happy and to do not give them up!Even if that means loosing a job, boyfriend and friends (because the ones that dont accept you, will think you are crazy and will end up going away) I have been doing this since then. And this is my suggestion for you too! In the video its me In my daily saddhana. Moving my body, listening to my breath. See more
17.01.2022 She said: Stef, Thursday is my bday and my daughter said that by can ask her anything that she will do it. I want to come to yoga and bring her with me! she also asked me to take photos because it was a another mother and daughter special moment. Oh mothers!!! Your endless care, selflessness, love and sensitivity are divine blessings to all around you! I wish every mother would choose self care for bday - and everyday of their lives. Happy bday to this one that chose self care to oneself and to the dear ones on this special day. "Making every act sacred is what makes living a magical experience" by Maaji
16.01.2022 The tendency to criticize or to feel competitive is In direct opposition with the very principles in which Yoga is based. . . . .... . . . . Spending more time online has been a big learning, and... a big distraction . Reflecting upon the privilege of having devices and internet to connect to others I came to realize how profound are our connections. That we can feel and materialise ourselves in ways that are not seem by the physical eyes. It truly amazes me! But sadly how misguiding this virtual world can be! Be attentive to what you allow into your consciousness. Observe the way you feel and the kind of thoughts you have after interacting in this virtual world. Notice it all and unfollow what does not serve you! Even if it appears "spiritual" and "true". Do it and don't look back! #truth #satya #teacher #radiantlightyoga
14.01.2022 Virabhadrasana - Warrior pose It is important to feel the asana emerging from a place deep inside you. Not something been forced on you from the outside. . . .... A few days ago when preparing a private yoga program I found myself reflecting upon how is it possible to practice the same pose over and over again and still feel ever new? I had to practice many times this posture in the video - Earth Warrior - to be able to teach how to direct awareness not just to all the different parts of the body and mind but to feel the asana from the inside. Yes we all heard this before right? But the fact is that the rational mind can not teach us that. So yes, discipline truly leads to freedom. Freedom to choose what is right for me at every given moment. This is freedom. To discriminate the right from wrong. To feel and hear the wisdom of the body. Get to know your body, to get to know your mind. #rational #yoga #earthwarriors #virabhadrasana #nsw #midnorthcoastyoga #asana #bodymindspirit
13.01.2022 Very useful info!
13.01.2022 My home for the past days. I could not unfeel or not acknowledge you, the king of the Seasons. Since the very first days, we all knew you have arrived. In ayurveda Spring is the king of the seasons. It denotes as one of the most unbalancing transitions. And not just in terms of weather. . .... The ancient science of Ayurveda follows seasonal cyclical living. In Ayurverda Spring is the natural cycle of transformation. Yes Transformation is a natural process but often very challenging. . . This season can feel turbulent for our mental and emotional needs too. Theres been a period of heaviness or slowness related to the winter and at this time feelings of wanting a fresh new start to begin as we move towards summer. Spring energy also supports the body in elimination and cleansing regiment. Thats why your social media feed is all about detox! . . Sad to be a witness of destruction and of so much turbulence in the air. It Does affect us in all levels as we are part of nature. But nature has its own amazing capacity to self generate, to adapt, to re create. Just like ourselves. . . Lets trust that the wisdom of nature is teaching us a lesson. This destruction is bringing us awareness to what our earth is going through. May the light of this awareness be close to our heart in our future choices. See more
12.01.2022 Balasana - childs pose. This posture helps relieving stress and tension and has the power to calm down the entire nervous system. Improves digestion and it is for sure a great choice when needing some time to actively rest throughout the practice. Its important to allow time to our body and mind to integrate all the benefits of the flow or sequences of postures. Try to make the self adjustments and variations in this video. It feels so good!
12.01.2022 Test yourself, how well do you know your yoga poses on international yoga day?
10.01.2022 I came upon this revealing truth reading one of the classic Iyengar`s books, he is describing when the yogi conquers the body by the practice of asana and make it a fit vehicle for the Spirit. "The yogi realises that his life and all its activities are part of the divine action in nature, manifesting and operating In the form of a man. In the bearing of his pulse and the rhythm of his respiration, he recognises the flow is the seasons and the throbbing of universal life. Hi...s body is a temple which houses the Divine spark. He feels that to neglect or to deny the needs of the body and to think of it as something not divine, is to neglect or deny the universal life of which it is a part. The needs of the body are the need of the spirited lives through the body. The yogic does not look heaven-ward to find God for he knows the He is within and without and finds that heavens lies in himself." BKS Iyengar Om

07.01.2022 Pay attention to how you feed your mind and your soul! . . . .... . . . . Our diet isn't just the food we eat but the thoughts we have, what we listen to and what we watch, what we read and who we surround ourselves with. These are all food for our consciousness! See more

06.01.2022 "The goal of the Yogi is to resolve all the complexities of life into simplicity by arousing his memory of the soul" Paramahansa Yogananda . . . .... . . The Yamas are particularly targeted to awaken within us the memory of our souls. Everything else is just an overlay that we have accumulated over life times of wrong living wrong thinking etc...Yamas are about cleansing all that. it is dont this, otherwise you will put on more layers in the mud. That is why there no need for fancy stuff. We can be simple. Be simple. Come from who you are. The simplicity of the soul has everything we need. All the beauty! The only way we can transform lives is by example. Its not by the way we say, how we appear to be, what we wear... it is by example. Example of our lives that can only come from a place of authenticity. #geetajiiyengar See more

05.01.2022 Contentment is pure presence. When we are absolutely present, the beauty and wonder of life is revealed, and contentment naturally blossoms forth. In the state of mind that we call contentment, we trust the universe. . . .... . . Contentment is not passive, it is a dynamic moment to moment choice to be happy, peacel and radiant. Try yourself! 04.01.2022 Koshas - we are multidimensional beings composed of 5 bodies and each of these bodies hides the next. These are one template of the 5 bodies and its different ...perceptions of reality within ourselves. . . . . . . . . . . . for most of people is acts as the bodies are separated, blocked from communicating with each other...but in reality the five bodies are part of the same unity and as its states in The Upanishads : Our true nature is hidden from our perception because five sheaths enclose it. Each of these sheaths (koshas) has a language and a method of communicating across the layers of personality. The proper practice of pranayama, asana and contemplation unveils the 5 layers to a right relationship with themselves - re establishing with ourselves! See more
03.01.2022 Private program bliss (Portugues nos comentrios) have you ever asked yourself what is important for you? . .... . . . . . One of the Masters at the temple once asked us to reflect on it. Her suggestion was to have the wisdom and courage to build our lives around the answer. Just that Today in reflection I came to realise that I have began to embody the yogic view of #discipline. Which is very needed as Intellectual knowledge in this topic didnt bring much about change for me. Discipline gives us freedom! Yes it does! It takes a lot of willpower to build our lives around what is truly important. And... yes Discipline builds willpower!!! And also has brought so much #freedom to my life. Freedom from that life of endless selfish desires and worries. Not saying I am free of it but I truly enjoy every single change that I have made away from it and I re affirm my commitment and surrender to this path! The path of discipline, devotion and truth. I invite you to do the same. Reflect on what is truly important to you then find the courage to build your life around it!
02.01.2022 Dancing Shiva pose inspirations. God created over a hundred dances, some calm and gentle other fierce and terrible. #iyengar Shiva, is not only the God of mystical stillness, death and destruction, but also the Lord of the dance and thats why this pose is dedicated to Shiva. Shiva is the fountain of Yoga and teach us that we can play and dance all rhythms and beats of life. . .... . . . . . Have you ever tried to attune yourself to the dance of your daily life? To play its beats and to dance its rhythm? It is simple...its just like when turning the radio on. Sometimes we pick a song that does not feel right for that moment, then we just choose a different song right? sometimes we knew the song already from the very first beat, other times we needed to listen for a little bit longer. In your silent, alone time, look for feeling your own internal rhythms. Accepting where you are and how your are feeling is the beginning of the dance! just like that song that was playing and was annoying you and you skipped, try to tune into what feels good for you. Move your body, your mind and your actions in harmony with your internal rhythm. it does not mean that if your rhythm is #tamasic and dull you should dance the dance of dullness. You will probably be feeling a need of playing a upbeat song. Or perhaps a #rajasic or intense and restless beat might be asking to change the rhythm to a more gentle dance. This is the dance of life. Do every action with the divine presence, with Joy, because this is all you are supposed to do today! To just live this day. "May the waves of thy power (joy) ever dance the river of my daily activities" # paramahansayogananda See more
02.01.2022 Weight bearing poses in relation to feet and hands in Yoga. Movement and weight bearing yoga practise done In a respectful way, in accordance with our capabilities, go along way to improve the health of body and mind. In todays society many people lose connection with their feet. (Wrapped in socks and inside shoes all the time) As kids we delight in feeling the touch of the earth under our feet, but many adults have forgotten the importance of this. The feet are the foundati...on for many of the yoga asanas. The feet helps us to be grounded and support the spine. In yoga the feet are exercised in many ways that strengthen and stretch the tissues of the feet as well as improving arches. Bring you attention when you stand on one foot, and notice how the foot, ankle, senses, nervous system, brain and muscles all connect to maintain a dynamic balance. Surreal!!! The hands and wrists Remember that no part of the body exists in isolation from the other parts. The entire body can help supporting the wrists in weight bearing poses, in Yoga we call it Global Support . The shoulders really have a definite impact on the wrists, shoulder strenght, aligment and flexibility are very important when weight bearing is placed on the hands. Other areas of the body that support the hands include the abdominal muscles, the legs and feet. #globalsupport #healthymindandbody #feet #hands #wrists #midnorthcoastnsw #midnorthcoast #radiantlightyogansw #scottshead #grassyhead #yogamidnorthcoast #yogatips
01.01.2022 "Propagate Yoga wisely." Krishnamacharya. A great master, Ayurvedic healer and one of the main inspirations of radiant light yoga! . . . .... . . . . . . Master of the well known Patthabi Jois (Astanga) and BKS Iyengar. The creator of Vinyasa Krama Yoga. All his teachings have the same underlying principle: "teach what is appropriate for an individual" and "Propagate Yoga wisely" " If yoga is to be kept alive overtime and transmitted without distortion, four conditions need to be satisfied; 1- the teacher should be knowledgeable and experienced 2- the student should be capable and should make effort to correctly understand the teachings 3- the student should practice and apply what is described in the teachings, so it does not remain merely theorical knowledge 4- when he is ready, the student should propagate the teachings " #krishnamacharya @ Chennai, India See more
