25.01.2022 Midskinrick Lodge & Camping is unhappy to announce that we will not be open for Easter after all. We have done all of our hard work and are ready to go but at this time, last minute holdups with 3rd parties will delay us. After these are done, the council still has to do a final inspection. Sorry to all the campers that wanted Easter bookings,we will get there ASAP. Hopefully by the end of April. The Lodge is still available for bookings. Cheers, Di and Doug

21.01.2022 DISAPPOINTING UPDATE. Sorry guys. Correspondence today from Gladstone Council advises that they require an extension until 21 JULY to 'satisfactorily assess our application'. Thank you so much to our loyal supporters who have put off booking elsewhere awaiting an early favourable outcome. Unfortunately, we will not be able to take bookings until after we get approval. Looking forward to opening up our campground again as soon as we get through these challenging times. Stay safe. Cheers, Di and Doug

18.01.2022 Midskinrick Lodge ( Lodge only ) will be available again from the 12th June for bookings. If you have been hanging out to get away and do some fishing, now is your chance. The river is producing some good fish and crabs at the moment, maybe because not too many people have been out there. The weather is cooling off, great time to have a beer around the fire in the Lodge entertainment area. For bookings email: [email protected] or give Di a ring on 0458592599... Camping unavailable at this stage. Watch this space for updates.

07.01.2022 Unfortunately we have to announce that under the new shutdown rules in Qld our camping facilities are closed indefinitely. We applaud both the Qld and Federal Govts in their efforts to keep Australians safe and believe we all have a role to play in stopping this dangerous virus. Anyone who may have previously paid a deposit can be refunded [please email with bank details- [email protected]] or your deposit can be held until such time as :1 The virus has passed and...: 2 We get council approval for our campground. We realise that this is a difficult and disappointing time for many campers, but it is in all of our interests to comply with the governments' requests. We will let people know what our future is when we know. Many thanks to all who have supported us and please stay safe. Thanks for your understanding - Di, Doug and Bill See more

06.01.2022 We have been working hard to get things done for approval, and are getting closer all the time. We have a glitch at the moment with the approval for the Lodge. We have to put in new bluetooth smoke alarms with inbuilt lights. Our problem is that we cannot get anyone to do it. So if any of our campers is an electrician or knows one that could help, let us know. We have our plumbing final passed, only a couple more steps to go !!! Probably will not make it for the long weekend in January, but maybe soon after.

06.01.2022 Midskinrick Lodge & Camping regretfully announce that we will not be open for camping for Christmas 2020. A few vacancies still at The Lodge. We have tried our hardest to make the deadline, but sadly we have fallen short. We are setting our sights on Australia Day weekend 2021 to reopen. The reconfigured campgrounds will mean a reduction in numbers of campers and campsites. This is beyond our control. We wish all our friends and campers a great Xmas and New Year and hope to ...see all of you soon. Cheers, the Midskinrick Mob. See more

02.01.2022 Hi to all aspiring campers. Looks like camping is back on the agenda after 12th June. We are still waiting on council approval (they have been affected by Covid19 as well) but are hopeful of having our approval by then. We will post as soon as we know more. Keeping our fingers crossed. We have been missing all of our camping friends !!

02.01.2022 IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR LOYAL SUPPORTERS. Please be advised that we will NOT be taking any camping reservations from now until further notice. Our application to operate as a Tourist Park will be discussed by Council on 26 March. If successful, we expect to be given the all clear to resume operation from that date. The LODGE is NOT part of this application, so it will be business there as usual. We will keep you informed of Council's decision.... Thank you, Di, Doug and Bill See more
