23.01.2022 This weeks Yin class is created to focus on our Lung meridian. Acupuncture points in the Lung meridian are indicated for throat, chest and lung ailments and for other symptoms that are presented along the meridians pathway. The lung is considered the Prime Minister of the body, receiving all messages from the heart and administering these signals throughout the whole body, especially producing, controlling and regulating the body’s qi through breath. It controls the circulation of blood and regulates the body’s metabolism of fluid, establishing the balance needed for good health. #yogaintassie #tasmania #yoga #yin #yinyoga #yinyang #onlineclasses #meridians #tcm #chinesemedicine #openheart #heartchakra #coronayoga

22.01.2022 The newest addition to my yoga essentials. On rainy days I stay inside all day and try to work on my sewing skills. What do you think? One day, when I’m back teaching out of my house I will be able to carry my mat around and take her travelling. Can’t wait to use my new mat bag. AGAIN, not perfect but made with love. #newyogabag #diy #saturdays #sewing #rainydays #winteriscoming #hathayoga #yinyoga #yogaismybuddy #midwaypoint #hobart #tassie #yogaintasmania #yogaiscool #practice #calm #relax #breathinbreathout @ Midway Point
22.01.2022 Hey Midway Yogis, It has been quite here on social media lately BUT I’m still here. We are still meeting every Monday at 6pm at the community hall practicing yoga together. The whole past corona life has been a wild ride for me too. Back to work.... Back to teaching (in person). Back to socialising. But definitely not back to normal. So the struggle has been real. Sometimes I am tired, exhausted, sad, in pain, stressed, sick, angry, not in a mood and many other things after a Monday before teaching but every time I start the class and students come to join all those things are forgotten. It’s like a different new world has opened and the old one has closed. I guess that’s the magic of having yoga in our life’s. It calms be, it keeps me alert, it teaches me, it keeps me fit, it keeps me healthy, it makes me laugh, it makes me cry, it makes me curious, it makes me breath, it makes me strive, it makes me show what’s in that little heart of mine and lot more other things. Coming back onto my little rubber mat as a teacher and student reminds me why I came here in the first place. #yoga #hatha #yinyang #practice #mat #yogaintassie #midwaypoint #letsmove #letsbreathe #togetherwecan #yogainspiration #yogateacher #yogastudent #alwayswillbeastudent #yogalife #yogatribe #findyourtribe
22.01.2022 Morning practise. When and where do you practise at the moment? What’s your favourite pose? What do you seek in your practise? How did you start yoga and when?... I started yoga in my early 20s overseas on a little island called Sylt. And believe it or not I didn’t enjoy it straight away I thought it was torture. My friend was a Pilates teacher but just finished her training as a yoga teacher too, so she would always remind me when her classes were. I didn’t enjoy exercising at all back then and couldn’t connect myself to the spiritual part of it. I practiced on and off over the years. I kind of couldn’t go without either. It took me a fear years to really connect to my yoga practise physically and mentally. Spiritually when I did my first training. I learned a lot about my own body, it’s anatomy and also myself. So here I am. Can’t go a few days without it. Teach it. Love it. That’s my journey. What’s yours.

19.01.2022 Do you find yourself in a yoga pose sometimes during the day while at work, cleaning the house, watching Netflix, brushing teeth...I do! This is one of my favourite #yogabeyondthemat
16.01.2022 Hey Midway Yogis How are you all? I MISS YOU a lot. I hope you are all well. I know it’s hard to adjust to that new life we are in. Last week was the hardest for me. Stop teaching. Stop working. Stop seeing friends. The fact I might not be able to see my family as planned. Knowing I won’t see my partner this year again. No more hugs and kisses with my friends. It was a tough week and I was deeply sad and crying a lot. But this week some little things have changed and I fee...l good but hey knowing me that can change any day again so I don’t have a choice because someone out there says I have to stay at home. Believe me I want that to be over as soon as possible too but there are things and theories and statistics I might not agree with and that’s ok, we all can still have our voice! But I do stay at home, wash my hands (even though I’m not going anywhere) and do my yoga It is easy to fall in that hole of not knowing what’s next week or what if. But find the little things. Roll your mat out, practise. Read a nice book. Enjoy a cuppa, make music, knit, sing out loud, write a poem, draw a picture, paint that wall, ... So I haven’t practised arm balances since I started having trouble with wrists 2 years ago. But this morning I wanted to challenge myself. I did it. What is your challenge in yoga? Find a practise, pose or target area of your body and start practise towards it. Day by day, step by step. Also I did more that an hour practise before I did that, warm up is important to be safe and not get injured Send me some pictures of your practise if you like! Stay strong. Lots of love Conny
14.01.2022 Dear lovely Midway Yogis, seeing the current situation we are all in I had to make the hard decision of cancelling my classes as of today. I hope that we all get through this safely and we can start new and fresh hopefully in the near future. I hope you all will be able to practise at home. Please let me know if I can help you out with a sequence or other practises. ... Stay safe & take care of each other. Namaste <3 Conny
10.01.2022 Hey Midway Yogis! I hope you are travelling well these days. Believe it or not but it’s November next week! I do not now how quick we got there but hey here we are and Christmas is in 61 days (don’t stress its ok to do nothing for Christmas too :)). So I announce my last class for the year which will take place on the 30th of November at the Midway Point Community Hall. If you do happen to have a class pass and it will run out we can continue with casual class payments so I... don’t have many passes to catch up in the new year! If it still happens get in touch. Also you can contact me anytime over my break if you get stuck with your practice, have questions or just want to practise together! Till then I will be at the hall every Monday at 6pm and I am all yours See more
06.01.2022 What a connection. Ever done yoga with your pet friend? They do love to join and connect with you and your practice.

03.01.2022 This year I’m taking a longer break over Christmas from teaching Yoga in Midway Point! It has been quite a year for everyone I believe and I hope that you all are having a great celebration into the new year, wether it’s standing or dancing! Stay safe over the festive season which means: - don’t speed while on the road, you will reach the destination sooner or later, better be safe - be nice to people (...anywhere) - consume less and help our world to get healthy again. Don...’t support the consumerism - bake a big cake and share it with everyone you love - do some yoga in between all the celebrating - remind yourself what Christmas is about - when things are getting to wild just take a deep breath (...it can work wonder I swear, if not there is always rescue remedy ) - make your own presents (crafty Sunday here we come) -go for a walk and take you time - just remember we do that Christmas thing every year so we should know better than stressing out about it - have a Gin Tonic (its ok as a yogi too) - hug people (whatever that means these days but hey they feel damn good!) - tell someone you love them - watch out for others - think about your yoga teacher - don’t skip shavasana! ....here are some poses recommended by me to do while on holidays! And think about me every Monday 6pm! Roll out your mat and remember why you started Yoga in the first place. All the hugs and head massages I couldn’t give this year. Conny
