Male kittens receive a sterilisation voucher if under 6 months old. Female kittens can be adopted as soon as they are advertised, But cannot leave MWCS care until after they have been sterilised at 16 weeks of age. 12.01.2022 Attended the Carnaby Black Cockatoo workshop today in Nabawa. A fantastic morning of learning about this beautiful bird and how we can protect them, as they are an endangered species. I just love listening to people who know what they are talking about and having the opportunity to ask questions was great. Between them all there was a tremendous amount of knowledge about the Carnaby Black Cockatoo. Speakers were: Rory Chapple (DBCA), Rick Dawson (NACC) and Peter Mawson (Per...th Zoo Science Program Leader). A lovely morning tea/lunch too. Here is some info if you would like to become involved.

10.01.2022 Hi, my name is Laura and I have grown up in Geraldton. As a small child, I have always had a love of animals. My very first pets were guinea pigs. It was from here that my love of all animals grew. I have had many pets in my lifetime and I am the current parent of a dog, cat, galah, canaries, chickens, ducks, fish and frogs. I started this business because I am very passionate about the welfare of all animals and this includes when they are recovering from surgery and when they are travelling. I felt that there was a need in my community, to provide this service to others. Thankfully this little guy who is 2 weeks old has a mum that also came into #midwestcatshelter's care, so she does all the work. We’re asking for your help this summer. We have a few items on our wishlist we would loved to be donated, saving us precious funds needed to rescue more kitties.
