Remember it's now law that all cats over the age of 6 months must be sterilised, microchipped and registered with our council. Sterilisation subsidies are available for pension card holders (contact your vet for more details) All MWCS cats visit our awesome friends at Sanford Veterinary Clinic when they are rescued. 21.01.2022 Did you catch Casey and Maria on Triple M Geraldton this morning? A note from Casey to a comment on the radio post..... thank you for your feedback and apologies that I didn't clarify further. This was all unscripted conversation and we were on a bit of a time limit. I definitely should have clarified further if that is how you have interpreted it. I was solely talking about finding a litter of tiny kittens. They have a much higher chance of survival if they are caught by th...e ranger with their mother, rather than without and our carers having to bottlefeeds every 3 hours with a high chance of mortality. A lot of well meaning citizens find the kittens, immediately move them and then hand them into the Rangers. If they can also catch the mum, it's a much better situation for all involved. Please also let me clarify that our stance is cats are to be contained to an owner's house or yard withing an exclosed courtyard to protect wildlife and to not spread disease. We also advise to sterilise, vaccinate and microchip, and to not let your cat roam. Thank you again for reaching out

16.01.2022 Sanford Veterinary Clinic 's clinic cat Primmy isn't quite sure why she's having a sleep over at our Catopia Boarding Cattery Even though the vet clinic is outside of the fire warning area, it's still a little too close for comfort. The Sanford team know there's nothing more important than the safety of your pet. Even with a contained fire, the smoke can cause respiratory issues for pets. It's always better to be prepared! Prim and another feline patient from the clinic are safe and sound, spending the night with us.

Thankfully this little guy who is 2 weeks old has a mum that also came into #midwestcatshelter's care, so she does all the work. ... We’re asking for your help this summer. We have a few items on our wishlist we would loved to be donated, saving us precious funds needed to rescue more kitties.
