23.01.2022 Dear patients, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak: In line with the guidance from the Australian Dental Association (which has been endorsed by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee), Midwestern Dental Specialists remains open but will cease to provide non-urgent dental care. Urgent dental care has been defined as that which:... - Manages acute dental pain affecting sleep - Manages severe trauma to upper front teeth - Relates to soft tissue pathology (e.g. ulcers) - Affects the systemic health of medically compromised patients - Manages higher risk of dental disease progression due to socioeconomic or cultural factors - Has been referred by a medical practitioner for medically necessary dental care If you believe you need urgent dental care, please contact us via phone, email or the contact us page of this website so that we may triage your concerns and provide you with the appropriate care. If you have a scheduled appointment but it does not constitute urgent care, our friendly team will be in contact with you to reschedule. IMPORTANT: Please do not attend the practice if any of the following applies: - You have travelled overseas in the past 14 days; or - You feel unwell with symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath; or - You have had contact with a confirmed of COVID-19 in the past 14 days Please don’t hesitate to ask one of our friendly staff for clarification or assistance with any concerns you may have. 18.01.2022 Midwestern Dental Specialists in compliance with the Australian Dental Association is temporarily closed for treatment. We hope to reopen and return to normal after the government mandated 5 day lockdown on Thursday 18th February. If you feel you have an emergency please don’t hesitate to contact our clinic on (03) 5332 6225. All patients who have appointments during this lock down period will be contacted to reschedule. 16.01.2022 Following the new Victorian Guidelines, all Victorians will be required to wear a face mask when outside their home from 11:59pm Sunday 2nd August. This includes all patients and accompanying persons attending our clinic. We thank you for your understanding at this trying time.

14.01.2022 Christmas Closure Notice Midwestern Dental Specialists will be closed for the festive season from 1pm on Wednesday 23 December 2020 to Tuesday 5 January 2021 inclusive, and will be reopening 9am on Wednesday 6 January 2021. 11.01.2022 We would like to ensure our patients that we are keeping up to date with the current COVID-19 pandemic. As such we can advise that all practices outside of the Melbourne Metropolitan area and the Shire of Mitchell continue to remain at Level 1 Dental restrictions. We are also happy to announce that our theatre lists in Ballarat are back up and running at a limited capacity. 02.01.2022 We are happy to advise that the Federal government has eased the restrictions on dental treatment to level 2 from Monday the 27th April. This means it has given us the ability to attend to the needs of a broader range of patients, not just emergencies. If you had an appointment that was cancelled, our friendly administration team will be in contact with you to reschedule it as soon as possible.
