23.01.2022 A heads up for those in the Rudds Gully area with animals: "Two of the family cats, one still missing, and our beloved dog passed away within hours of one anoth...er on our property in Rudds Gully yesterday. We're confident it's due to 1080 poisoning; we're in the process of having Maddox (the doggo) tested to see what it is that killed him. We've contacted the ag department and can confirm that no one in this area should have their hands on any form of bait but until we have further results we aren't able to get any closer to solid answers behind the situation. I just want people in this area and in the general community to know that there is a risk of baiting that, although may be authorised in different areas, is exposed to loved animal family members. I wouldn't wish this heart break nor the pain these loved family members endured to be experienced by anyone.
