24.01.2022 https://www.if.com.au/screen-australia-puts-development-f/ Midwinter Films are delighted to announce we've received development funding from Screen Australia for Over and Out, the series. Looking forward to working with our producing partners Rob Gibson and Ian Collie at Easy Tiger, and creators Adele Vuko and Christiaan Van Vuuren.
24.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago we pitched our feature film to a panel of judges from around the world at the Doc Edge Forum As our first soiree into the online pitch-wo...rld, we braced ourselves with low expectations and were very shocked last Friday when it was announced that 2D Love was awarded ‘best pitch’ (?!) along with the ‘AIDC prize’, meaning we can strengthen our relations with our friends across the Tasman. Here’s a pic of us celebrating with some choccie milk. Which comes with a second announcement that we are indeed in the process of developing 2D Love into a feature film! We always knew we needed a bigger scope to explore the future of love and life in an increasingly digital world... so expect more colour, more adventure and a lot more anime...
23.01.2022 Congratulations to Midwinter's Gemma Knight and Director Abigail Edgen, who won "Best Pitch" and the "AIDC Award" for the feature doc 2D Love at Doc Edge Pitch. We're so thrilled for their success! https://docedge.nz/industry/pitch/
