19.01.2022 Does anyone else struggle with shopping ethically?? Sometimes I look online at pretty clothes that I know are made by people who can’t even afford food..... but they are cheap and, like I said, pretty .... And then I look at stores that I know pay living wages and it seems like everything costs three times as much! But then I remember I don’t won’t to contribute to poverty and the quality is always wayyyyy better and it lasts heaps longer. Still, I personally find it such a struggle! 17.01.2022 So here in West Aus parents currently have the ability to decide whether they want to send their kids to school or not. This means that as a full time teacher, on top of everything I usually do, I now need to wipe all the desks and doors twice a day (during recess and lunch) attempt to keep 10 year olds physically distanced, plan online classes, deliver online classes, and regularly communicate with parents about these classes. The workaholic inside me is pretty much fine wit...h this. What I’m not fine with, is how the government thinks that asking this of teachers is ok. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful that as a state we are doing so well!! Hopefully this won’t be for much longer! I don’t think I can pick an emoji that adequately sums this up.
