23.01.2022 RESULTS! A weekend of ups and downs across four games for the Crabs. Saturday saw an early victory, with the Men’s C Grade beating a strong Unley side 2-1 with Mark Fenoughty scoring his first two goals for the Club from midfield! Congratulations to our Conneely Constructions Pty Ltd Men of the Match, Mark Fenoughty and Manuel Contreras... Next up were the B Grade against Scotch. A horrific start saw the away side 4-0 up within 20 minutes, but the Crabs rallied and managed to claw two goals back before half time. In the end the fresher legs of Scotch saw them score again, it finished 2-5 with Andy Chapman David Brett, Smartline Personal Mortgage Adviser’s player of the game having played two full 90 minutes back to back! The A Grade also faced a tough task against Scotch. Coming off a belting last week our boys in blue held their own, going in at the break 1-0 down. The second half saw no luck for the Pulteney team and eventually Scotch found the edge in front of goal - it finished 4-0 to the away team. Congratulations to Hamish Puddy, U-Store-It man of the match, for his fighting performance in the middle of the park. Finally this morning our Men’s Masters played their Cup Quarterfinal against West Beach Legends. Windy conditions favoured the superior skills of our veteran Crabs, and despite a momentary second half scare the old boys ran away with the game, 6-2 in the end. Dr Zoe Steele - Osteopath’s player of the day was Frank Stillitano - calm and strong on the ball both in midfield and defence Frank gives the boys around him confidence and started many a good move with smart distribution.

18.01.2022 World Cup Winners! Allez les Bleus and allez Will Raynham and Charlie Hollis for winning our World Cup sweep! Will takes home $100 and Charlie $200, congratulations Crabs. Can’t wait to do it all again in four years time!
17.01.2022 RESULTS! Another up and down week for the Crabs with four games played over Saturday and Sunday. Saturday morning saw a new look C Grade side take on Mt Barker. Thanks to the guys from the Masters who filled in as well as Liam Steele who put his hand up to play in goals last minute! Congratulations to Chris Benson, the goal scorer in our 3-1 loss and today’s Conneely Constructions Pty Ltd player of the match.... The second fixture of the day away to Westminster was a tough slog for our boys. Despite patches of good football the team went down to one of the best sides in our competition, final score 5-2 with Pat Canny & Padg Fyfe named dual Dr Zoe Steele - Osteopath players of the day! The final Saturday fixture saw our Collegiate A Grade take on Westminster. It was a complete team performance, full of grit and a touch of luck that saw us win 1-0 thanks to a penalty cooly dispatched by Dave Perry. This massive win leaves the A’s just one win from safety behind CBC, our opponents next Saturday! Hopefully we can get the points and do the business to survive in Division 2 another year. Lastly the Women’s Collegiate team we’re back in action this morning at home to Woodside. With blustery winds it wasn’t the best conditions for silky football, but a header from Elisa Tomlinson in the second half was enough to see our girls win 1-0. It was a real team performance, with each player fighting for the ball and doing their bit. Well done girls!

12.01.2022 RESULTS! Two impressive victories and two disappointing losses for the Crabs this weekend - with the Saturday CSL sides travelling to West Terrace to take on Adelaide Comets while on Sunday the Masters played against Plympton and the Womens team hosted Westminster. The B Grade boys got the Crabs off to a winning start with a solid 2-0 victory on Saturday. Two first half goals and a clean sheet the ideal way to return to competitive football after a week off. Congrats to joint... players of the day, Neil Forrest and Adrian McManus thanks to U-Store-It and David Brett, Smartline Personal Mortgage Adviser. The following game saw our A Grade lose a couple of early goals, and despite a mid-game rally that saw us on the scoreboard the Comets ran over the top of our Crabs, final score 6-1. Sunday’s Masters fixture at West Beach resulted (finally!) in 3 points, defeating Plympton 2-1 to give hope to their survival in Division 1. The Masters squad have not had the rewards their football deserved of late so finally some footballing justice for our old boys! Dr Zoe Steele - Osteopath’s player of the match was Steven Patriarca - the engine room of the Masters midfield! Finally our Womens side, off the back of two big battles against Mercedes, were shocked by the strong start of Westminster this afternoon. Despite fighting their way back into the contest they couldn’t trouble the scoreboard, finishing 4-0 down to the much improved visiting team. Conneely Constructions Pty Ltd player of the match was Catia Malvaso - always bringing an intensity to the pitch Catia lead the way today in winning and playing the ball forward. Much to work on at training this week as always so be there Tuesday/Thursday!
09.01.2022 Congrats to Pulteney Grammar School graduate Apostolos Stamatelopoulos on his first goal of the Hyundai A-League season for Adelaide United! AP set up the first and then scored the second in a 3-0 win for United over Central Coast this afternoon to stake his claim for a regular spot leading the line for the Reds. Stamatelopoulos has just returned from Indonesia where he was representing the Caltex Socceroos in the AFC U-19 Championship.... Well done AP and keep up the scoring form!
08.01.2022 RESULT Just the one game today with our C Grade journeying down to Marion to take on Westminster. The C’s were strengthened by a couple of fresh faces, both old and new, and went out on the pitch full of confidence after some silky football the week prior. It was a tough battle for our boys against a well drilled Westminster and at half time the Crabs trailed 1-0, however the boys’ resilience showed as the game went on, with two unanswered goals in the second half giving us a... 2-1 win, the first of the season for the C’s! U-Store-It man of the match was Patrick Canny. Dominant at the back as always Pat also had a big impact at the other end wit two big goals!

04.01.2022 This Thursday Night!
02.01.2022 RESULTS Two games for the Crabs today, the Masters playing Southern Cross and our Womens side up against Mercedes for the second time in two weeks! Despite the traditional grit and determination and a fair amount of slick passing football from both sides neither team came away with a score line that did their effort justice, our veterans going down 4-2 and the girls 4-1. Much to reflect on for next weekend’s games as we try to build momentum towards the run in.... Congratulations to our David Brett, Smartline Personal Mortgage Adviser player of the day Lidys Lowry. Her fast feet and vision to bring team mates into play is matched by an aggression that belies her size.
