18.01.2022 Muscle Tone Muscle tone is the amount of tension a muscle has at rest. There are 3 types. Normal Tone: When you have normal tone you have the right amount of tension within the muscle at rest making it easy to contract on command. ... High Tone: Also called hypertonia means that the muscles have too much tension within the muscle at rest. This results in extra resistance to movement making it difficult to stretch and lengthen the muscles. High tone is often seen in people with cerebral palsy. Low Tone: Also called hypotonia means that the muscles do not have enough tension at rest. This means that muscles are more lengthened, and the limbs may appear floppy. This can make it difficult to maintain resistance to keep upright and complete daily tasks. 17.01.2022 The secret is out!! The Mighty Kids Therapy team has been working hard behind the scenes to set up our new clinic in Browns Plains. The intention behind this space is to provide a fun environment for therapy, allowing children to achieve their physiotherapy goals while trying new equipment and exercises. The Browns Plains clinic will become a hub and home to build a community and also reduce travel costs for families. ... We will be having an opening party for the clinic on Saturday 29th May from 10am - 12pm. There will be face painting, balloons, yummy snacks, lots of fun games and of course Ziggy the therapy dog will be there! Please RSVP by sending a DM with the amount of people from your group who will be coming. The new clinic address is 6-7 / 123 Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains, 4118. We are located on the top floor - there is a huge lift that opens up right outside the new clinic. There are two entrances to the main building; 123 Browns Plains Road & 12 Enterprise Way.
