24.01.2022 It is easy to feel like you are losing control over your life. And while we have to protect and promote our community by acting for the greater good (especially during this pandemic), it is important to also maintain our own identities. To exist is to coexist, but this does not mean we cannot also flourish as individuals. Take time to plot out your personal goals and do things that make you happy. Your unique perspective is invaluable. Remember, a beach is made up of individual grains of sand. Without the individual, the whole cannot exist.

15.01.2022 Sometimes our to-do lists pile up and it's easy to become overwhelmed by our workload. A favourite trick of ours is to sort the tasks by urgency and importance. This categorisation will allow you to focus on the tasks that are important to you and bring you closer to your goals, and also ensures that those urgent little jobs don't slip through the cracks. Very few things flourish if they're left alone - remember to aim for consistency over momentary perfection.

14.01.2022 30 Common Excuses! You need to know when you actually need a break vs when you are simply making excuses. We all procrastinate sometimes, but recognising when you need to sit down and do the work is crucial.

14.01.2022 For tasks that are simply too grand for an individual, collaboration is everything. Three pillars of collaboration are trust, inspiration and support. Trust ... When teammates trust each other, work gets done quicker because everybody is focused on their own tasks instead of wasting time worrying about everyone else. Inspiration People generally work harder when they are inspired by someone or something. Support Teams are usually animated by the idea that multiple people achieve more and make better decisions than an individual. If you need assistance, your team will always be there, as you all want the same thing: for the team to succeed.

10.01.2022 A good way to help you look objectively at your situation is to chart it. The Wheel of Success when completed honestly will give you a realistic appraisal of your current situation. Consider the centre of the circle (0) as representing a low skill level in that ability and the outer edge (10) as representing a high skill level. You can use a pencil to determine where you are placed on each spoke of the wheel for each skill set mentioned. Join these points (dot-to-dot style) to form your wheel.
