21.01.2022 Mighty Mini Diggers were commissioned to work on an historic refurbishment of the Athenaeum Theatre in Collins Street, Melbourne. The Victorian Government provided a grant of $877,000 to fund the refurbishment. The grant has been used to expand the orchestra pit to accommodate 50 musicians, install new seating, improve the backstage and toilet facilities and re-carpet the building. Mighty Mini Diggers was involved in the expansion of the orchestra pit, using its mini kanga loader, mini excavator and dingo digger attachments to dig out the old pit and remove around a metre of rock. The Melbourne mini diggers and mini excavation specialist was excited to be working on such an historic Melbourne project.
