25.01.2022 Great work Nar!

25.01.2022 Collaboration wins the day! Did you watch Win News the other night? If you did, you would no doubt have seen the story about friends of MRC who became qualified netball umpires. With great networking amongst the Netball community, Setayesh Karimi, Nilofar Morzaei, Tayebeh Karimi, Soraya Eftekhari, Somayeh Eftekhari and Fatemeh Amiri are now match officials! See the great team photo below of the latest additions to the netball family in Tasmania! Thanks to everyone at MRC Northern Tasmania, Reclink Australia, Netball Tasmania, Northern Tasmanian Netball Association, Generation Netball Club and U15 NTNA for making this happen but most of all congratulations to these motivated young women!

21.01.2022 MRCN's Harmony garden in Mowbray continues to take shape thanks to all the hard work of those involved. Community gardens are great for many things! Our gardeners are talking about a sense of achievement and the opportunity it presents to engage with others who are passionate about making things grow. In the Harmony garden many things are growing...plants, garden beds, worm farms not to mention knowledge and friendships! Anyone is welcome to come along for a look or to get in...volved. Call 0409 826 321 to make enquiries or pop in to MRCN's Haig St Community Space Harmony building (entry off Dineen St.).

20.01.2022 The very talented Obeth Rai has been at it again. Fresh from his MRC Thrive and MRC Beyond Limits video productions, Obeth has lent his voice to our animated videos and provided voice overs in his first language, Nepali. We also took the time to add Nepali subtitles to the videos. These Nepali translations follow our previous translations to Arabic, Tigrinya, Amharic and Farsi. Voice overs in these languages will follow soon. Listen to Obeth below as he paints a picture of t...he value of introductions and how the simple act of introducing people can lead to great things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oldpszJFOk8

11.01.2022 With easing of Covid 19 restrictions and Covid Safe practices in place the Thursday Group has returned! There were familiar and new faces in attendance at the Harmony building in Mowbray, and as always attendees decide what to do. By far the most popular choice is practicing written and spoken English with a great team of Volunteers on hand to assist. Our resident videographer, the multi-talented Obeth, was on hand to capture some moments. And a nod to Hari for her amazing kn...ack of bringing people together. If you would like to join the Thursday Group or start your own group call Beyond Limits on 0409 926 321. Your group can be what you want it to be. It can be as informal or formal as you like and the Beyond Limits team can support you along the way. You may want to practice your English or discuss topics of interest. Beyond Limits can also arrange information sessions. You decide! We are particularly keen to hear from people, families and carers living with disability. Beyond Limits is funded by the NDIS Information, Linkages and Capacity Building Grant.

If you wait until late July, you’ll find most of this info already in your tax return. The result? Less time spent on lodging, and mistakes and delays avoided.
