25.01.2022 Minister of Education announced that the Australian government is making a number of changes to student visa arrangements to ensure Australia remains a priority destination for international students as the country emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic. Five highlights of the announcement: Offshore offices will resume processing student visa applications. If students are not able to complete studies within Visa validity due to reason related to COVID-19, no fees will be charge...d for new visa student applications. Online studies while outside Australia due to COVID-19 can be counted towards SC485 post-study work visa. Students on a SC485 post-study work visa to be allowed to lodge from outside Australia if unable to return due to COVID-19 Additional time will be provided for English language results if applicants are not able to sit in the English exam due to lockdown Please note that these are announcements, and there has been no change in the legislation as of now. We will update when Migration Regulations are amended accordingly.
