25.01.2022 Hope we are still able to visit #Tonga again this year with so many travel restrictions still in place. Could be devastating for the locals to go an entire year without a #humpbackwhale season.

25.01.2022 On this day 2016, Hayley and I were flying to Tonga for our Humpback Whale guide training in Ha'apai. After a season of guiding tourists everyday, some of the most special and intimate moments of our lives emerged including this one. We call this image "Double Trouble" because dodging one Humpback Whale calf can be challenging enough, but two at the same time can prove impossible! #tonga #humpbackwhale #underwater #humpbackwhales #ocean #wildlife

24.01.2022 There is nothing quite like the feeling of being engulfed in a school of fish and on the #ningalooreef we are lucky enough for it to happen all the time. The Ningaloo marine park ensures healthy fish stocks unthreatened by fishing and it can be seen on a daily basis.

23.01.2022 The stunning Itamarina Island in the heart of the #conflictislands atoll. We have now spent 5 years in total @conflictislands and we still have so much more to #explore and #discover. #milnebay #papuanewguinea #papuanewguinea #png #itamarina #island #tropical #coralreef #atoll #lagoon #ocean #djimavic2pro #dji #paradise #adventure #adventures

22.01.2022 I love the moodiness of this image. It isn't always smooth sailing being an #underwater #photographer and it isn't always glory weather days either. Making the most of every opportunity infront of you is what counts and this was on a cold windy rough day @kingdomoftonga where this beautiful mother and her calf were resting. The baby would tuck in under her mother and come up for a few breaths every 2 or 3 minutes. We kept our distance and enjoyed seeing the beautiful #connection between the mother, who was sheltering her calf in the rough seas.

22.01.2022 On the other side of the full moon and the #mantarays have disappeared once again from the passage at Panasesa Island. We will eagerly await the new moon and their return. #manta #mataray Shot with @nikonaustralia in a @nauticamhousings with a @sigmaphotoaustralia lens

22.01.2022 Manta Rays have the largest known brain to body ratio of any fish meaning that have very big brains! With such a small proportion of their brain needed for feeding due to being a filter feeder, the rest of their brain can be used for socialising with complex social and courtship behaviour. Great for us humans after rewarding social interaction with iconic marine megafauna. We could spend hours in the water with these guys if they allowed us to. 22.01.2022 Finally dropped our experience of swimming with #orca in #skjervøy #norway full video youtube link below and in bio. Probably ended up being our best trip ever with one encounter turning into a feeding frenzy for #humpbackwhales. 21.01.2022 Flying high about the @conflictislands this #amazing white belly sea #eagle and it's partner nests by our runway each year and have such a special relationship. Courtship is now in progress so we should be looking forward to our family here growing ever bigger.

20.01.2022 Now this is a leopard ray!! We usually find them in the lagoon area just outside passage through the reef in #coralbay. Amazing rays but surprisingly little know about them. Shot with @nikonaustralia in a @nauticamhousings

19.01.2022 Too Big for one photo... You can't really describe or show in just one photo the feeling that swimming alongside one of these magnificent #sharks gives you. Whether it is the first or the 100th time, the exhilaration is still the same! Shooting with @nikonaustralia in a @nauticamhousings

19.01.2022 Reminiscing about days on the #ningalooreef swimming with these gentle giants... #traveltomorrow #whaleshark... Shooting with @nikonaustralia in a @nauticamhousings See more

19.01.2022 It's very difficult to capture or explain the magic of #mobula ray colours. Their iridescent colour, like a pearl coating on a car, changes with every angle and every movement they make. Yesterday's action included these guys who were furiously feeding alongside reef mantas and a surprise visit from an oceanic manta (M. birostris) More photos and video to come.... ... Shooting with @nikonaustralia and @nauticamhousings

17.01.2022 New website just dropped, new prints currently being added on the daily, for print request DM us and we'll add them for ordering. www.migrationmedia.com.au

16.01.2022 Golden news for the #ningaloo with travel restrictions easing in the #gascoyne region. #traveltomorrow may soon be #travelnow Shot with @nikonaustralia in a @nauticamhousings with a @sigmaphotoaustralia lens

16.01.2022 The best thing about swimming with #whales are the #babies!!! You see their demeanour change when they can see a tiny human in the water next to them that they can play with! There is a strict 5m rule, but it seems that everyone forgets to let these cheeky calfs know. Sometimes you spend your whole time trying to keep the 5m rule in place as they just cannot get close enough to you. #playmate #whales #whale #babywhale #swimwithwhales

16.01.2022 Some truly incredible night skies to enjoy out here @conflictislands. Testing Sony A7Siii aperture priority and program metering modes for auto-exposure ramping and I must say they are very impressive. 15.01.2022 COVID-19 has definitely has give a lot of people a lot more free time on their hands, including us. It has given us a chance to go through over 22k images from the #ningalooreef that has been sat on our hard drives for the past few years since we left. There are some gems that we have come across so far!! #discovery

13.01.2022 Diving into the weekend, hoping for some quality H2O time! Shooting with @nikonaustralia in a @nauticamhousings @majesticwhaleencounters

13.01.2022 Working on day to night Hygiene grail timelapses takes patience and hitting every sunrise and sunset in the hope that the colours spike, getting closer everyday film our new promotional video for @conflictislands during the lockdown. #sunrise #timelapse #slider #conflictislands #milnebay #papuanewguinea #png #jetty

11.01.2022 Ningaloo Reef is truly a winter wonderland. Visit whilst it's quiet, you will not regret it. With our worlds ever increasing population and insatiable hunger for fresh seafood, Ningaloo is one of the last places where you can still see large schools of fish in the wild like these awesome Convict Surgeonfish. Such a favourite to see on the reef in their large squadrons in the beautiful clear shallows of Ningaloo. @australia @australiascoralcoast @westernaustralia @exploringau...stralia @australiagram @visitningaloo #ningaloo #ningalooreef #westernaustralia #australia

11.01.2022 Hoping we can get some more of this action this year again. Check out our latest video from Norway to swim with Orca's but got a whole lot more than we bargained for!! Highly recommended for the more adventurous travellers out there.

10.01.2022 Happy World Turtle Day everyone ! Despite loving these animals they are in desperate need of help and assistance since there are so many direct and indirect ways they are affected by climate change. Coastal erosion causes steep beaches and sometimes a large step that adult female turtles cannot climb to lay eggs whilst large logs and driftwood washed away from nearby islands will block their path entirely. Increasing temperatures of the sand have caused an increase in female... hatchlings and marine debris is having fatal effects on mature adult populations. If you want to help, you can donate to Conflict Islands Conservation Initiative in Papua New Guinea where your money will go directly into the protection of both endangered Green Turtles and critically endanger Hawksbill Turtles. The turtles nesting here have a direct link with Australia's Great Barrier Reef with satellite tracks placed on nesting Hawskbill Turtles here and tracked back to their foraging ground in Far North Queensland. Please visit their page and anything you can help with is hugely valuable. #turtle #worldturtleday #conflictislands #papuanewguinea #milnebay #png #conservation #hawksbill #hawksbillturtle #greenturtle #nesting #climatechange #

06.01.2022 #WorldOceanDay is certainly a day to celebrate our oceans but also a day to do something to protect and conserve them. The theme of this year's 2021 World Ocean Day is 30x30 meaning we need to aim to protect 30% of the oceans ecosystems by the year 2030 to have any chance of a healthy ocean in the future. The best thing you can do today is donate to Conflict Islands Conservation Initiative to help save critcally endangered turtles in Papua New Guinea with your money going dir...ectly into supporting the local rangers. We created this video, full YouTube video link in bio, to show you more of the work that they are doing everyday to protect Conflict Islands, Paradise in the Coral Sea from becoming another area exploited by humans for person gain. https://youtu.be/YTeWYORLy8E The Conflict Island Conservation Initiative, CICI, (www.cici.org.au) has been working to protect biodiversity and the marine environment in Milne Bay since 2017. Our team consists of community Conservation Rangers, marine biologists, volunteers and passionate conservationists, with local and international partners. Our project focus began with protecting the turtles who make the 1,500 kilometre journey from their foraging grounds in Australia to come and nest here at the Conflict Islands. Since then, we have diversified into other areas of marine conservation including sharks, rays, coral reef, fish, manta rays and starting the journey to make this incredibly biodiverse area a Marine Protected Area. Decisions about the future of our blue planet are being made this year by world leaders, and they need to hear from you! The actions that our leaders take (or fail to take) this year will determine the health of our blue planet and security of future generations for decades to come. To have your voice heard, head to http://campaignfornature.org/WODorganizations and sign the petition that calls for a greater protection of our shared oceans. To learn more about what CICI is doing to help protect the oceans and biodiversity for Papua New Guinea, head to www.cici.org.au or visit our social media channels.

04.01.2022 Smiling our way into the weekend! With travel restrictions starting to open up, you should be back in the water with the #whalesharks of #ningaloo very soon!! #sharks

02.01.2022 Stunning scenery in Norway throughout the day, no need to wait for sunrise or sunset because you get beautiful light all day long in the Autumn when the Orca and Humpback Whales are in the Fjords. One of our favorite places
