24.01.2022 Been receiving a number of queries about the travel restrictions into Australia. Here is the (current)summary you need to know! If you hold or applied for a temporary visa, you need to apply for a travel restriction exemption before you travel....Continue reading

17.01.2022 An enquiry which started back in Jan 2020, and now all done! No fees collected as it was a simple query(to a registered migration agent) but an important one for the family! Happy to receive the word of thanks and appreciation.

11.01.2022 Excellent article about how social media can affect your Australian visa and citizenship applications. Be it the truth or an off-the-cuff remark, comment or post, social media content can be used to assess your applications. https://www.abc.net.au//home-affairs-protection-v/12391620

05.01.2022 Keeping you informed - An Australia migration and visa info series Post #1 - Resident Return Visas Becoming an Australian Permanent Resident comes with its maintenance requirements. To maintain your valid visa to leave and enter Australia, you must have a valid Resident Return Visa (RRV).... The easiest way to maintain your RRV is to stay in Australia for a period of at least 2 years in a 5 year period. By doing so your application for a new RRV is quick and easy (typically 3-5 business days turnaround). There are many Australian Permanent Residents who have not been in Australia for the required 2 out of 5 years for a straightforward renewal (technically not a renewal but we commonly refer to as such). Applicants in this category must demonstrate substantial ties to Australia (employment, business, cultural and personal) to obtain a 12-month RRV, instead of the usual 5-year RRV (the visa fee is the same). Typically such applications can take up to 6 months to be processed, so apply early if you have planned travels in or out of Australia! Some pointers: ** ALWAYS check that your RRV is valid before you travel out of Australia. ** ** ALWAYS check that your passport (travel document) is valid before your travel. ** ** If you know that you are unlikely to meet the 2-year residence for your RRV application, START collecting evidence of your ongoing ties to Australia! You will have more information and content to provide to the Department when you eventually apply for your RRV. ** ** You do not need to have a valid RRV to remain in Australia! However if an urgent travel was to come up you will need to make sure your new RRV is obtained so that you can return to Australia after your travels. ** Please note that the above is GENERAL INFORMATION about the RRV application for current Australian permanent residents.
