25.01.2022 Great to meet some friendly faces on my daily door knocking route in Treeby Just like many other Treeby residents, Robert is facing difficulties accessing phone reception within his own home. As a retiree, it's important that residents like Robert have access to adequate phone reception in case emergency services are required. ... Robert's story isn't unusual. Over the many weeks I've spent door knocking in Treeby it's clear that all residents are facing similar challenges. Treeby locals deserve better.

25.01.2022 Meet Stella and Garry! I recently caught up with Stella and Garry for a coffee at BLVD Cafe' in Canning Vale after we spoke over the phone. Stella and Garry are registered foster carers and have taken in many vulnerable young people from our community over the years. Their commitment and contribution to our community of Jandakot is amazing. ... I'm inspired everyday by the individuals I meet while doorknocking across our community. I'll continue to deliver on my promise of giving every local within our community a voice so their ideas and concerns can be properly heard.

24.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT Creating jobs for local Jandakot residents has never been more important. A strong plan is needed to reboot our local economy. Under the Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee, "local" will mean local, ensuring WA small and family-run businesses are given preferential treatment and the opportunities to create more jobs here in WA.... Labor's bungled local jobs law defines local businesses as "suppliers of goods produced, or services provided, in Western Australia, another State, a Territory or New Zealand". Recently, this has meant $9 million worth of small business contracts that could have been done by WA businesses and workers were awarded to eastern state companies. The Liberals Local Jobs Guarantee ensures local means local, keeping local jobs and profits here in WA for a quicker and stronger economic recovery.

21.01.2022 Great to finish the week with a door knocking session in Treeby! Thanks to Johan for inviting me into his home. Johan made it clear that his number one concern is the lack of suitable phone reception. Johan's not alone, I’ve heard some concerning reports over the last few weeks; no one should be worried about whether or not they can reach out to emergency services in a time of need. I look forward to working with residents on some suitable options moving forward on how we can tackle this terrible issue.

20.01.2022 I had such a warm reception greeting motorists on their way to work along Ranford Road this morning in Canning Vale. Thank you to all who responded so positively. The WA Liberal team will work to make our roads and communities safer with better roads and tougher laws. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch. I am here to listen and to work for you! #mihael4jandakot #puttingyoufirst

19.01.2022 It is good to remember. The Jandakot community remembers the fallen and those who sacrificed so much for us all this Remembrance Day. Join your community in a minutes silence at 11am. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Lest we forget. ... #wewillrememberthem #remembranceday #jandakotremembers #waliberals

17.01.2022 Great to be out door knocking in Leeming, especially with such lovely weather! Local Leeming residents are making it very clear that the issue of crime within the area is worsening. More must be done by the State government and the local representative to provide a safer environment for residents and their families.

16.01.2022 Jandakot is an amazing community! It is an immense privilege to serve as the Liberal candidate for Jandakot.

13.01.2022 Great to be out greeting motorists on their way to work in Jandakot this morning. Such a fantastic response and thanks to those who waved and beeped. I will be out and about over the coming weeks. #buildroe8 #jandakotwantsroe8

13.01.2022 When was the last time you asked a friend "R U OK?" As Australians, it's our nature to help our mates. If you know a family member, friend or member of our Jandakot community who's doing it tough, connecting with them could make all the difference in that person's life. You don't have to be a doctor to encourage someone to seek help. Connecting with someone socially can assist them during a crisis. ... If you see someone today who looks a bit down, I encourage you to approach them and ask R U OK? For more information, please visit the website below https://www.ruok.org.au/join-r-u-ok-day

07.01.2022 COULD THE PHONE RECEPTION IN TREEBY GET ANY WORSE? Yes... Yes it can. I met Wally, Terry and Moira while doorknocking in Treeby this afternoon and their stories are shocking.... Wally is over 90 years old and has no access to mobile phone reception. He can only communicate with his family online (when the internet's working). If Wally suffers a fall or is in need of the emergency services, he'll be left helpless. A solution is needed to restore Treeby's phone reception.

05.01.2022 It was great to be out door knocking in Canning Vale this week and chatting with local resident Aarti who kindly invited us under cover when the rain started. It was good to hear her perspective on local issues. Aarti’s parents own and operate Livingston Lot-O-Luck in Canning Vale where we later picked up a ticket. Get out and support your local businesses!

04.01.2022 Today is Daffodil Day. Every 4 minutes an Australian is diagnosed with cancer. That is 150,000 people per year. Cancer affects each and everyone of our lives. We all know a friend, a family member, a brother or sister, whose lives have been affected by this deadly disease.... Please show your support by donating to the Cancer Council's Daffodil Day Appeal. Although it's harder for some this year to purchase a yellow daffodil at their local store, you can make a contribution by donating online at the link below https://www.daffodilday.com.au/

04.01.2022 This week is Child Protection Week. Our children are the most important investment in our future and each child has the right to grow up in a safe and caring environment. I participated in a Child Protection professional learning course conducted by AISWA Inclusive Ed Consultant Tania Wray. Tania plays a vital role in creating awareness by ensuring teachers and those responsible for the care of our children have the practical skills and tools to navigate through the many co...mplex issues. We can all do our part to promote child safe communities and be aware of the risks whether they be at home, in our community or online.

03.01.2022 An apprenticeship can be tough. New skills, a new team to work with and the big cost of new tools you need to get your job done. We get it and the $1000 Apprenticeship Kickstarter will help new apprentices buy the new equipment they need to get started in work. Our plan not only benefits young people it will also be available to Western Australians who want to reskill or upskill, including those impacted by COVID-19... Costs of getting into the workforce or changing career like uniforms, car licensing or driving lessons, police checks, medical assessments and online training will all be covered by the Apprenticeship Kickstarter. The Liberals are focused on creating local jobs, helping local apprentices and backing our local small and family businesses. That's our Local Jobs Guarantee.

01.01.2022 Wishing the Indian-Malyalee community a Happy and Prosperous Onam, the popular harvest festival of the Kerala.
