24.01.2022 It's been a couple of months since my last post. I have been busy, working on cancellations and refund requests. It is a long process, that will continue to take some time, but I'm happy to say that persistence pays off. I hope you and your loved ones are safe! x Mihaela

22.01.2022 Hello everyone, I hope you’re all safe and staying healthy. A bit of a long post, but it’s needed. This pandemic has hit everyone very hard and most of all the travel industry. My livelihood, my passion and many other livelihoods and passions.... I had a customer call me on the weekend, just to see how I am doing. Before ending the conversation, she said that she will be the first to book a holiday with me, once all of this is over. Comments like these, keep me going. Juggling cancellations and chasing refunds, on top of motherhood in isolation, is damn hard. I want to swear, but I’m sure you all have an imagination! There’s no light at the end of the international travel tunnel as yet, but hopefully interstate trips are not too far away and I can assist some of you, with them. Below is a post shared today by a lovely lady, that I was lucky enough to meet today, after an old work colleague connected us socially. Being able to connect with her, within our 5km radius allowance, was a breath of fresh air. The mental sanity, was in desperate need of a recharge. Don’t let crappy, uneducated media stories make you question your worth. Thank you to all my clients who have been so amazing and so understanding through this entire situation and who have made a really challenging time for me just a little bit easier

15.01.2022 I love my job, but a little glimpse into my life of late, and an idea of why I'm finding things pretty tough! (Add a newborn baby to this...) I AM A TRAVEL AGENT. "Why are you at work", people keep asking? "Surely you’ve nothing to do?" "No one is travelling?"... WHY? Well how long have you got? I am a Travel Agent, that’s why! We are dealing with: YOUR FLIGHT YOUR HOTEL YOUR CAR HIRE YOUR ATTRACTION TICKETS YOUR CAR PARKING The list goes on............................ I am dealing with: DATE CHANGES FUTURE CREDIT NOTES REFUNDS CANCELLATION AFTER CANCELLATION In the main, it would be amazing if clients were to rebook, rather than cancel. Why? If not, this could be the future: 1) Hotels will close worldwide. 2) Thousands of cleaners and caterers will lose their jobs. 3) Communities who already rely on tourism, will suffer greatest. 3) Airport staff will lose their jobs. 4) Tour operators will cease trading. 5) Both scheduled and low cost airlines will cease trading. 6) Future holidays will be a thing of the past. 7) Business meetings and events abroad will suffer. 8)The few airlines that do survive will charge the earth, as no competition on routes. That's why I'm still working! So if you know a travel agent, PLEASE SMILE AT US PLEASE BE NICE TO US! WE ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU AND HELP SAVE THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY! And for those of us, like me, who are self employed, the more we are cancelling holidays, the more money we are not only losing, but we are having to pay back what we have already worked hard to earn! Working on commissions, I only get paid if you travel! So this is tough!! As you can imagine, I have a longer than usual response rate as I work through each unique scenario in date order to help my customers as quickly as I can, whilst keeping on top of the rapid updates domestically, as well a...s around the globe. 02.01.2022 As the owner of a small business Travel Agency, myself and my head office support staff in Melbourne and the UK, are working very long hours to ensure all of our customers are well informed and looked after to the best of our abilities. I’m not going to lie. It’s not pretty and the travel industry world wide, is literally on its knees. 133,000 travel industry jobs in Australia alone have been lost in the last 5 days, families are facing long term redundancy and our beautiful ...clients losing thousands of hard earned money We are aggressively chasing as many refunds for our clients and charging no extra fees to ensure maximum returns.
