18.01.2022 As of last week we have implemented temperature testing for all staff and children each morning upon entry and at lunchtime. We are pleased to report that even Rabbit (see picture) is fighting fit and healthy! Behind the scenes, we are hard at work ensuring that we have the appropriate documentation, procedures and staff training to combat the spread of COVID-19 and make sure that Mikarie remains a place of safety, learning and fun for your children. 10.01.2022 Following NSW Health advice, the team at Mikarie Child Care Centre are taking the proactive step of introducing a day-to-day face mask protocol for staff who reside or work in NSW Health identified areas of concern. Face masks wont replace our social distancing or hand hygiene practices. The introduction of face masks for some of the educators has been a new experience for the children. Throughout this experience the children have been able to develop a wealth of skills such as problem-solving, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating.
