23.01.2022 Here's another song from the album. Please feel free to share.

18.01.2022 Still some CDs left and on sale at Fleurieu Folk Festival this weekend 27-29 October. Brilliant line-up.

14.01.2022 Hi Folks. Just back from Scotland and Germany and looking forward to Fleurieu Festival. One of the songs on the CD has made the finals of the Judith Crossley Songwriting Competition. If you haven't got your copy yet, they'll be on sale at the Festival. The Scots like the CD so I sense a world arena tour. Only Kidding!!

12.01.2022 Pleased to announce that the CD will be available at Adelaide Booksellers, Twin St from Monday 10th July.

12.01.2022 Coast FM interview went well. Managed to promote Fleurieu Festival, Stone pony at Willunga, Pete Titchener, Colcannon and Country Express. Oh and a bit about me!

11.01.2022 Today Michael Hartley delivered my copy of Mike O'Callaghan CD. I felt a bit nervous having waited for the finished product for a couple of months. What an abso...lute gem this is folks. Let's start with Mike's guitar. He is an exquisite guitar player. His playing is so clean - no buzzes or thunks - and the riffs and runs and intricacies have always been a marvel to me. In the times when Mike and I have played music together I've sometimes found myself forgetting to sing being pulled into the music he is creating on the guitar it is so evocative. The next test for me of a good song is when I feel it - like not being able to sing it because it makes me cry. There was one song in particular that had me sobbing and it took me ages to be able to sing the harmony. Mike's songs take you places in your own heart and you feel connected to your own life and sadness and joy. Being a great guitarist and a great songwriter Mike has the indecency to be a great singer too. I've always loved singing with Mike and no less so on this CD. Then there is Sian Williams and having not heard Sian play for about 20 years her playing on this album is also exquisite. She shares her dad's sensitivity for the songs. Her harmonies and ability to work around Mike's melodies is lovely. Michael Hartley's base is beautifully subtle and the whole thing together is just amazing. I was a bit nervous when I fronted up to the studio to do my bit. I'd heard of Pete Tichener but never met him before. It was a pleasure to work with him. I hadn't been in the studio since John Munro had mixed Barry Hickey's tape (that's what we had between vinyl and CD for the youngsters) and that is a long long time ago. Pete was so easy to work with, very calming and very affirming. Anyone who wants to have a music project I'd highly recommend Pete's studio. This album is a great legacy for the O'Callaghan/Williams family. It was such a privilege to be asked to particpate in this work of art. Love you Mike and your family. Old friendships stand through time and I look forward to continuing to play music with you in the future. See more
