24.01.2022 "Raw Beauty" - Elliston, South Australia This shot was taken overlooking the same rock structure as the previous post. The sun went down outside of frame to the right pushing all this lovely soft light back over the cliffs. It was also super windy, which is shown by the movement in the longer exposure. Prints are available for sale at http://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio

20.01.2022 Storm’s End Southport Beach, South Australia This image was captured at the tail end of the spectacular lightning storm a few weeks back. I was hoping there would still be some residual lightning to coincide with the sunset, but it wasn’t to be. That being said the light that pushed through under the storm clouds was reward enough! Fine art prints available via: https://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio... Please feel free to share this post and your comments are always appreciated!

18.01.2022 "Spring has Sprung" - Southport Beach, South Australia I've really been enjoying this upturn in the weather lately. Even better have been some of the incredible sunsets! This particular one was one of the best I've witnessed at the Southport stairs. Looking forward to more journeys further afield in this beautiful spring weather! 16.01.2022 "Lion's Den" - Elliston, South Australia When I shot this I saw this huge rock structure down in the waterline and was looking for something to frame it up. A few feet down the cliff came up with this little overhang. It wasn't until afterwards that someone mentioned that it looked like a lion sneaking up over the top. Now I can't unsee it :) Prints are available for sale at http://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio

14.01.2022 "Distant Horizon" - Southport Beach, South Australia Trying a different perspective looking down the ever glorious Southport stairs. You can create various leading lines depending on the angle. I tried to use the stairs to lead down to the fisherman followed by the whitewash leading towards the horizon. Prints available at http://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio

13.01.2022 "About Last Night" - Port Noarlunga, South Australia About 15 minutes before this shot the winds were gale force and sand was blowing everywhere. There was literally no chance of shooting because of it. Fast forward a bit and the wind dropped to a mere 25kts. With a protected corner it was game on, and it sure didn't disappoint!! 08.01.2022 "Casting Off" - Port Minlacowie, South Australia First post for the New Year. Hope everyone had a great festive season! This photo was taken on during Saturday night's vibrant light show whilst we were staying at Hardwicke Bay. It's pretty basic but I think the Port Minlacowie boat ramp has a lot of character :) Prints available at http://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio

07.01.2022 "Lunar Adventure" - Flaherty's Beach, South Australia There's nothing quite like motoring around in soft sand by yourself in the pitch black trying to find a location to shoot. Managed to not get bogged and capture this image of the Milky Way core rising over the dunes at Flaherty's Beach over on Yorke Peninsula. 04.01.2022 "Distant Memory" - Kanmantoo, South Australia Friday night I was lucky to be invited up to Kanmantoo to join a group of Adelaide photographers to do some astrophotography. The evening was hosted and organised by Matt of DIDI Photos and he did an awesome job of showing us around his property and making us feel welcome. This particular image is a vertical panorama consisting of 12 individual stitched images and the foreground light was via stand mounted dimmable LED light panels. It was incredibly cold out there but the results were worth it! Prints available at http://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio

02.01.2022 Emu Rising Flinders Ranges, South Australia It’s been some time since I picked up the camera, but an Easter trip to the Flinders Ranges rekindled the motivation. The remote location and subsequent lack of light pollution with this pretty cool dead tree made a good combination. It was a very tight window between the Milky Way rising and the moon rising. The warm glow in the background is the moon on its way to spoil the party. An LED panel was used illuminate the tree out of frame off to my right. Please feel free to share this post and your comments are always appreciated! Prints available here: https://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio

02.01.2022 Very cold, but wow!

01.01.2022 "Incoming" - Southport Beach, South Australia It's been so cold and wet lately that I had to wade through some older images to warm myself up. This particular shot was taken the night of an epic summer thunder storm a little while back. Prints available at http://mikeleeimagery.com/portfolio
