23.01.2022 Stoked to welcome my new camera to the family, the Z CAM E2 F6! Who’s keen to shoot something when Isolations over?

23.01.2022 Glad to have had the opportunity to shoot this latest clip for Vanishing Point just before lockdown hit in Melbourne again! First project using me new Z CAM E2, so thankfully it was a pretty simple concept and a great chance to throw it around a little. Very impressed with how it went. Ironically I was also super happy with the colour and skin tones coming out of the camera, but black and white was the style.

22.01.2022 Being behind the camera most days of the week it’s not too often I take my stills camera out just for fun these days, so when I do, it’s usually for a pretty special moment! Here’s one from last week captured in the country out past Ballarat after a long week on set. This was during dinner the night we wrapped where the sky was clear, moon on the horizon and all the elements aligned!

22.01.2022 Finally got a chance to take my slider out for some time-lapses while in the country on a shoot last month. Luckily it was a clear night, and a new moon, and I had some time to kill while waiting for data to transfer at the end of a long day. So I hiked up a near by hill and left the camera running overnight. When I checked it in the morning I noticed it had fogged over from the mist on the dam. The slider was still running because I hadn't set an end point, so the camera ha...d just been continuously bouncing off the end of the track with each photo. When I looked back over the photos I was surprised to to see that each time the camera had fouled on the end of the track, the zoom ring on the lens got bumped, continuously zooming in with each shot, which added an interesting outcome to the final result! The results have been smoothed out digitally to make it a little less clunky Happy accident, or unfortunate accident, what do you think?
