20.01.2022 You've heard every jeweller say it. 'Have your settings checked regularly.' For us, we recommend every 6 months. Why? Because diamonds don't magically fall out of your rings. They get knocked around from everyday wear and eventually your stones will start to wiggle in their settings. Your hard stones, like diamonds, once able to spin, will then start to cut and wear the metal itself away. The good news is if found early, stones can be tightened. #repair don't replace... 19.01.2022 Tuesday Tech Tip: Why knot? . . . Because we can! Pearls are strung on a strand of silk, and wherever possible we tie a knot in-between each pearl. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, the knot acts as a small soft spacer to help stop the pearls rubbing against each other. Secondly, if the strand ever breaks, the entire row of pearls doesn't scatter all across the ballroom floor!... Over time the silk will naturally weaken, so it is important to check the condition of your strands. If the silk is looking frayed or fuzzy it might be time to be re-strung. We can re-string your pearls starting from $65. And if you like the beautiful colours in this strand, it will be available for you to try on from this Thursday.
