25.01.2022 New to Mikunioz for the custom or classic bike builder. Available in Black Epoxy or Chrome housing with or without grips. This Classic styled Custom 7/8 (22mm) Push/Pull Road Bike Throttle assembly is designed for twin carb use with any of our VM or TM Mikuni carbs. The most common applications are 70s and older British, BMW and Ducati Twins along with Later XV Yamahas and any other motorcycles where custom length cables are better suited and or when riders prefer the two cables over a 2-1 cable with splitter option.

25.01.2022 We have now paired up our popular MX quick action throttle with a new cable using the very popular 90-degree lower adjuster for threading directly into the top of your carb replacing the OEM adjuster, for use in situations where space is very restricted such as on the Honda NX650.

23.01.2022 New 0.30mm TM42-6 (HSR) pump nozzle now available. We finally have available this way finer nozzle to polish off the performance requirements of the TM42 carb in many Honda XR and Kawasaki KLX applications. The size 50 nozzle has proven perfect on the Suzuki DR650, KTM's and others but like the 45 nozzle in the TM40, has been an issue with some Honda's and Kawasaki's. This nozzle like the 35 for the TM40 are now sold in all Honda and Kawasaki kits. Both of these now enable t...he setting of a full zero to 3/4 pump stroke, providing an even better acceleration leap than experienced now where some pumps had to be backed off to a reduced 1/8 thru 1/4 stroke. The other spin off of this finer nozzle is an even better improvement in fuel economy. The fuel economy aspect may even be of interest to some of you DR650 owners running the TM42 if doing big desert runs where every drop of fuel counts. The TM42 size 30 nozzle is available at no charge to any customer who can validate a 42 kit purchase from Mikunioz this year and to all others is available through our Mikunioz store where the cost is unavoidably higher than the Factory sizes as this nozzle had to be specially made through our Mikunioz aftermarket manufacturing devision. 23.01.2022 We have just released in complete form, the Mikuni HS40 total kit for 1970 thru 1984 Harley Davidson Shovelhead and Ironhead XL1000 Sportsters, now including a Mikuni K&N 2" wide air-cleaner kit. The air-cleaner mounting brackets are also available as separate items for custom air-cleaner mounting applications.

22.01.2022 The factory has in recent times released around 30 new rebuild kits like this one for the BST40 on KTM640 LC4 and 400 SX and are now working on an ever increasing range for other ageing OEM carbs. At present most have been aimed more at the ATV, UTV market but early in the new year Triumph and Ducati owners will also finally have access to economically priced genuine Mikuni rebuild kits. 22.01.2022 Mikuni TM34 carb is now available in Kit form for Ural 750cc Ranger, Tourist and Wolf models. With the popularity of our Honda XR kits in Russia weve now released a kit for the Ural to supply the local Russian and worldwide market for riders wanting that same boost in performance and smooth throttle delivery experienced by BMW riders using much the same kit. This kit as with many others of the more popular motorcycle brands can be found in the drop list under the Mikuni Carb Kits main menu option.

22.01.2022 After years of having trouble matching Mikuni mounting flanges with many engines having irregular stud spacings we now finally have available for sale these alloy mounting flange sets for matching with any stud spacing ranging from the 2" Amal arrangement through to a 75mm centre to centre measurement. The 51 to 58mm flange comes with either a 32 or 34mm bore where the 58 to 75mm is only available in 34mm bore. Each mounting flange and sleeve assembly is designed for fitting ...Mikuni carburetors with a 40mm spigot outside diameter. The alloy stub flange is made using 6061 grade Aluminum with a silver anodized coating. The 40mm spigot hole diameter is for matching with Mikuni VM30, VM32, VM34, TM33-8012, TM32, TM34 and RS34 carburetors. The slotted mounting holes in the 10mm thick base are designed for using up to 5/16 or 8mm socket head screws (Allen key). Each assembly includes a gasket and heavy duty rubber boot attachment sleeve which has a 40mm inside diameter and stainless steel hose clamps featuring rolled outer edges to protect the rubber. Carburetors with 2mm larger or smaller spigot diameters can also be accommodated by the rubber boot.

19.01.2022 After 30 years of selling these great sports bike carbs its still great every week to hear back from customers experiencing the WOW factor that Mikuni RS Smoothbores deliver to great bikes that had their performance strangled from new by CV and other under performing stock carburetors. Once a hard sell at around $1200 AUD the RS carb sets have in recent years leapt in popularity as a worthwhile investment with the older Suzuki's and Kawasaki's becoming very collectable machines. 19.01.2022 Our new range of cables have finally arrived and are now available through the online store. This Quick Action MX throttle and cable assembly is for use with Mikuni VM carbs ranging up to 38mm & all TM non pump Mikuni carburetors excluding the TM24. This premium grade throttle cable for use with Mikuni Carburetors has a Nylon lined outer housing. The Nylon liner inside the outer cable housing conduit is for reduced friction and heat resistance. It comes with an angled lower fitting, heat guard spring for hot exhaust pipe protection, mid- cable adjuster, and a stainless steel top adjuster.

19.01.2022 Here at Mikunioz we are always trying to improve and offer different options with our product range. With the popularity of our universal mounting flanges enabling the easy fitment of Mikuni carbs to many motorcycles with out of the norm stud spacings, we now have this option with a tapered internal bore for better flow and to also allow more connection sealing area when fitting 32 and 34mm carbs to cylinder heads with 26-28mm ports. We now supply these standard in our early Triumph T140 twin VM &TM kits and the T150 Trident, Kawasaki Z900 and 1000 RS34 kits. We havent been able to do a performance comparison with using the straight bored flanges but our first test cases have indicated no jetting changes required and the same bolt on Wow factor everyone gets with the Mikuni carbs.

17.01.2022 We have just received our new range of Mikuni carb to air box adapters. These are all made from premium grade alloy with a silver anodized finish. Many of these will form part of our soon to be released complete ready to bolt on Carb kits.

14.01.2022 After many years of being a build yourself kit through the respective carb size and model pages we are now selling for Yamaha XV Virago 750 thru 1100 our popular Mikuni VM36 and TM 38 Flatslide options as ready to bolt on and go kits, excluding fuel lines. Each kits respective engine flanges allows them to mate into the stock air box boots and also comes supplied with a 1050mm long 2-1 throttle cable for high bars which at no charge can be shortened to your desired length at time of purchase.

14.01.2022 Heres a new product being a spin off from our now commercially available Yamaha XV Virago twin carb throttle cable set. These 90 degree lower fittings have been specially made with an extra 10mm of thread both sides for more adjustment and clearance, allowing it to be wound further down into the top of the carb for even more clearance under the frame. When fully wound down this fitting only requires 22mm of space above the carb. Being sold with or without the rubber boot and found in the throttle and cables Mikunioz main menu option.

13.01.2022 New stock length cable sets are now available in both black and clear coated stainless steel braid for the early version of the HSR42 and 45 Harley Davidson carbs. The early HSR left hand side throttle control is found on new 42's made prior to April 1999 and 45's pre April 2000. The threaded top fittings suit all pre 1996 Harley push/pull throttles. Both ends feature 90-degree fittings.

13.01.2022 After many requests since the discontinuation of the HS40 kits 20 years ago we have in 2016 reintroduced this great carb in Easy Kit form enabling the owner to fit up a range of custom air-cleaners. This Mikuni HS40 Easy Kit suits all Harley Davidson Shovelhead and Ironhead 1000cc XL Sportsters. This was all made possible due to the efforts of our new R&D departent designing a manifold air-cleaner fitment and cable kit to put a new spin on an old classic. The kit includes a M...ikuni HSR40 40mm Carburetor with choke cable, a specially designed Mikuni 1/2 drop down manifold and lowered throttle cable bracket for Shovelhead rockerbox oil line and better tank clearance, heavy duty manifold to carb rubber mounting flange, choke cable securing bracket, some jets for tuning, a throttle cable set, plus an air-cleaner adapter for mounting any custom air-cleaner that fits a Harley Davidson Keihin CV or a S&S shorty air-cleaner. The Mikuni HSR air cleaner adapter fits over an anodized alloy sleeve which is pressed onto the carburetor intake spigot enlarging it from 55mm to the 65mm outside diameter of the HSR. Mikunioz has re-released the HS40 kit due to customer demand from Harley Davidson owners who back in the day ran these great carburetors and today whilst still riding these older bikes, want that Mikuni smooth power and enhanced riding experience whilst not wanting to give all the engine components the work out delivered by the HSR42. Impressive performance increases can be expected when replacing other carbs with an even way more impressive gain if replacing an old butterfly type Harley Davidson Keihin or Bendix carburetor. There is no form of air-cleaner mounting bracket system included in this kit as generally depending on what carb you are removing and or what type of air-cleaner you will be installing, you could expect to either use some or all of your existing brackets or otherwise require the fabrication of a complete custom made arrangement.

13.01.2022 New TM40 Pumper Carb kit now available for Honda GB500 and XRB500 singles. After the surge in interest for this application following a story run in Old Bike Australia Magazine and more local and NZ customers raving about the complete transformation in their bikes, we had a 62mm air-box adapter sleeve made for the TM40 so as to now have a direct bolt on kit found on the Honda kits page under the Motorcycle kits option on the Mikunioz main menu. This sleeve will also work for DRZ400's and some of the European brand bikes.

08.01.2022 When you get creative you can make a Mikuni carb do a better job on anything. This US customer had no options for his worn out forklift carb where it’s never gone so well since fitting our VM30. The Nissan belongs to an Aussie customer using 6x Tm45 pumpers.

04.01.2022 New RS Carburetor Kits for 2017 The first of nine additional RS Kits for numerous applications are now available with the others to follow mid to late January. This Mikuni RS36 carb kit is more suited for the Honda CB1100 but will be compatible for both 750s and 900s with worked engines. RS34's for the smaller Honda engines are about two weeks away. They will all breathe a whole new lease of life into your machine with up to a 25% increase in power, whilst making it perform... and operate as it should with no hesitations or flatspots. You will very quickly realize that the expense of a rebuild of your old worn OEM carbs can far exceed the cost of these new units and unfortunately as with many rebuilds now days you only have the option in many cases of gambling with very poor quality aftermarket parts. Considering this and if intending to ride and enjoy your motorcycle it makes good sense to retire your OEM carbs into the cupboard and step up to a set of RSs. Before rushing in and ordering please firstly check your carb spacing and carbie sizes for compatibility. These are not suited for downdraft engines. This Mikuni kit comes with the following carb centre to centre spacings for direct fitment to Honda CB750. 04.01.2022 New Mikuni RS Carb Kit Parts We now have two new items available in the RS carb Accessories options being silver anodized alloy air-box extender sleeves for lengthening the carbs out from 100mm to 116mm for matching more OEM carb dimensions when wanting to use the OEM air-box. Also we now have low profile hi-flow Petcocks as a remedy for clearance issues when fitting the very popular banks of four to Kawasaki Z900, early Z1000's and other models with the M22x1.0 threaded nut (also same as Harley Davidson).

03.01.2022 At Mikunioz our adapter kits are making possible RS smoothbore carb conversions for an ever expanding range of 1970s model engines with spectacular results. Pictured here is our Triumph Trident T150 RS34 kit and our new reducing sleeves for enabling the fitment of these and other 40mm outlet spigot diameter carbs to engine rubber boots around the 35mm diameter range. This has been a great solution when fitting to engines where uniquely angled mounting flanges and rubbers dont exist with larger inside diameters. Consequently, We now have available bolt on kits for all SOHC Honda 750 fours and numerous other motorcycles.

01.01.2022 Caught up with Prong yesterday, the owner of Cairns Performance Cycles, on the final days of his extended Xmas holidays. Prong does some of Mikuni Australia's final fit and test work for older Harley's and having just recently turned 60 we gave him a Mikuni VM32 for his old Triumph Trophy. We'd also hoped that our soon to be released 45 degree mounting flange rubbers may fit his bike and make an excellent final R&D test run. As you can see the application was to tight for the 45 degree rubber but not being a problem for Prong with a quick custom fitup his old triumphs performance lept for Amal to awesome with heaps more power and a quick returning smooth idle everytime. If the 45 degree rubbers take off we've got 22.5, 70 and for this application 90 degree versions on the drawing board for future production.
